I would hope we are doing our due diligence on all the QBs.

I read somewhere that Green Bay and the Chargers have shown the most interest. Green Bay might take him in the late 2nd - but i doubt it: it will irritate Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers wants to win next year and wouldn't wish them to waste a 2nd.

Chargers should wait til the 3rd for hurts

If he is there in the 2nd - I just take him. If they have done their due diligence and deemed him the right fit. I have much less qualms about taking him at 37 than I dod Herbert at 6

I think this order is pretty much locked in.

            1. Cincy - Burrow
            2. Washington - Young
            3. Detroit - Okudah (or trade back with team who chooses qb) - Slay lost/ Patricia wants his Stephon Gilmore
            4. Giants - OT (Wills/Bechton) Gettleman/Daniel Jones all leans towards OT
            5. Miami - Tua/Herbert/Love/OT
            6. Chargers ???

Miami take Tua so the Chargers can take Simmons please

If he is the right fit, why not take him at #6?

There are things they like about him, and things they don't like, no doubt........he ain't perfect, nor guaranteed to be the future.

Someone really good will be sitting there at #37.

Reading this morning that Chargers spoke with J. Hurts. If we draft Hurts we will be stuck with 3 mediocre QB's on our roster.

Yeah - Hurts had to transfer out of Alabama because there was a better QB on the roster. I'd rather draft the better QB.

I don't get the love for Hurts. He's not an NFL QB at this stage, and don't kid yourself into thinking he's anything close to Lamar, who's a complete outlier. I guess I can see the argument that taking him at #37 is better than taking Herbert at #6, relatively speaking, but neither scenario is particularly good. There WILL be 1st round-caliber prospects on the board at #37, and passing on them in favor of a project QB who faces an uphill battle to starting in the NFL (and years away even if he does make it) is not exactly an enticing idea. I'd barely even feel good about taking him in the 3rd.

Of all the ideas discussed if Tua isn't there at #6, I like trading back up from #37 into the 1st for Love the most. I'm on Team Tua, but Simmons or OT + Love would be a sweet haul, too.

They were pretty even stat wise and one is far more durable than the other. Im not high on either but at least Hurts isnt a china doll. I just cant invest in someone that wil be hurt all the time....and we wont need to use #6 on Hurts.
The top QBs in this draft arent what we thought coming into this season. Id only be happy with Burrow in the first round.
