If Hurts goes day 3 then I will be the most surprised guy on the planet. 3rd round for sure and someone, like a Green Bay, could snag him in the 2nd. IMHO of course.........

word has it that GBay is keen on the Green Bay native in the draft @QB.... James Morgan.

personally, still think that a trade for Rosen would be ideal, in that he can learn behind Rodgers, as think that is the ideal mentor for Josh ??

It's going to be really interesting how this works out, because so much is out of the team's control in the draft.

We have no idea what the team really thinks. We have heard TT say they are comfortable with the QBs on the roster and Lynn's less than ringing endorsement that Taylor is in the driver's seat "for now" and we reportedly went after Brady which should say something about what they feel about Taylor.

Do we trade up to get Tua? If we don't, there is a good chance he'll be gone by 6. If you read anything into our FA signings and the rumors, this could play out.

Do we like Herbert and wait for him at 6? A lot here feel that is way too high for him, but he could be gone at 6.

Do we sit tight and draft whichever QB between Tua and Herbert is there at 6? There is a realistic chance both could be gone at that point and then we are on the fallback plan.

Could we really do something asinine like drafting Love at 6? I pray this doesn't happen. If they love Love, I hope we trade back before drafting him.

Do we not really like either Tua because of injury and are not sold on Herbert and draft BPA at 6 and take someone like Hurts/Fromm/Eason in the 2nd or later? Lots of teams could snap up the ones we like if we wait.

If we miss out on our draft QB, do we then go after someone like Cam Newton?

So many possibilities it makes my head spin.

we're not high on Herb, we won't bat an eye @6 in his direction, and he'll still be on the board there (@6)

both Tua and Justin are there @6, we draft neither of them, and they are not part of any plan.... hence there is no fallback plan necessary at that point.

not gonna draft Love @6 either, and doubtful they love Love, and trading back is not part of the plan either.

will also add that think Tua is more a Diego/SF kinda guy, and not so much an LA compatible person, and.... could he land w/the 49ers ??

they just resigned Verrett even tho he went down almost right away last season, so in theory they aren't overly bothered by the injury concerns ??

and would Pete Carroll take a chance w/J. Love ?? might be a good fit there.... ??

If all the players Telesco wants are off the board then yes if they give up a ton to move up to 6. Maybe the chargers are looking at a second tier OT in the second round. and maybe another guard in the third. Lot of holes to fill but giving up 1st tier player at each position is tough pill to swallow unless they're targeting a first rounder at a lower grade.

If Simmons is gone at #6, I still think the Bolts need to go with one of the big 4 at OT...remember, Bulaga isn't exactly a spring chicken, and Pip is still unproven. I say we need OT depth, QUALITY OT depth...if either of those two gets hurt, we need a better backup plan than Tevi, Scott, or Fabio...
