Listening to people intimate with the Oakland Raiders, they feel that he just wants to avoid big hits. The 4rth down throw away pass was emblematic of this resolve.

Can't blame him - his brother's promising career was ended from the beating he took.

This puts the cherry on top of the coming of the era of playmaker QBs over fundamentally sound pocket passers.

Dlineman are becoming more athletic, Olinemen are getting progressively worse, and in a case of "trickle up" very young QBs are bringing new skill sets.

Some weaknesses are being brushed aside, such as accuracy, as NFL scouts and GMs are looking for QBs that can move.

It's coming. Stop being stuck in the '70s. Mobile QBs. WingBacks (RB/WRs). DBs/LBs who can cover.

Say goodbye to your "maulers" and "roadgraders." They are irrelevant in modern NFL football. And learn what James Campen is all about before mocking particular Olinemen to LAC.

      :coffee:
If Manning/Brady/Brees...etc. came along, i'm all over them. They can get rid of the ball quickly - they should fit in real well to the new NFL.

Defenses will be all stacked against the mobile quarterbacks.

Gruden's offense is complicated and he is getting very comfortable in it now. He just needs more weapons. He has a running game with Jacobs, a good TE....2 in fact. Just needs a WR or two.

The only way I see the Raiders drafting a QB early would be because Gruden just loves QBs but Mayock is good at reeling him in to reality.
Unfortunately I get to read all the Raiders news here in Vegas lol. But I'll say this, they will be supported here, unlike the Bolts in LA.

We should of moved here. Spano's is good friends with the Mayor here and they are fans....I say they because Oscar Goodman was the Mayor and now his Wife is. Dean fucked up.....again.

Bring in OL via FA & draft.1 at #6, then go after Hurts in the 2nd. Is that going to win us a Super Bowl? Maybe. Maybe not
          But
Burrow is a different animal, in my opinion. He carved threw the toughest conference in college football like a chainsaw through butter. Then hung 42 on the best D. Coordinator in football. If there is a smidgen of a chance, take your shot. I would take it on the chin for another year or 2 until we make up for those lost pics to get him. I was discussing on here earlier how we don't want the kid to be beaten alive like David Carr. The difference is Burrow isn't a statue. He can move. Sure if he gets hurt then the Monday morning QBs will say, "SEE! I TOLD YOU SO!!"
But you could get killed on the way to cash in your winning lottery ticket. Get in the damn car.
they can cover those two pics for 3+ years with FAs because your $30M Qb is on a rookie contract. Its not nearly as bad as “losing two pics” for nada. Get in the damn car, pick em on on the way!

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing. What I'm saying is, if you want a meatza pizza that cost $20 & you are only willing to spend $10, then all you're ever gonna have is regular old cheez pizza... Forever.

Picture this:. You are the sole provider for your family as a struggling carpenter. Your family is getting by with the bare minimum. Eating meatless spaghetti damn near every meal. & Unfortunately, this has been going on for years & years. You buy the cheapest hammers, which continuously break costing you missed time & lost wages.
Do you continue this vicious cycle or take a leap & buy the best damn hammer out there? Burrow is the best damn hammer out there.
Listen, it's a long shot so if we don't pull it off I understand. But make a bid & don't half ass it.

                  LOL.
                  Eli's retired.
Brady will be stranded in the desert.
Brees is beggin' to split snaps with Taysom Hill.
We goin' for the greatest Checkdown Charlie of them all...Marcus Mariota.
                  He can really move.

                    Wow.
I just walked out of Whole Foods.
Cheese Department Manager was cutting up a 90 pound wheel of Parmagiano Reggiano.
Gave me a small chunk that fell off
                    It was delicious.
Took me twenty minutes to decide which cheese to get for my National Pizza Day pizza I am gonna create.

                    Sorry.What was the question ?

Tom Brady can officially become a free agent in less than six weeks, plenty of time for more rampant speculation about what the Patriots have to do to keep him and which teams may pursue the 42-yea…

Both of these are worst case scenarios for me.

For a fun exercise, watch the Combine Oline testing.

-- 4.75 sec or faster Short Shuttle.
-- 1.8 sec or less Ten Yard Split.

The blocking scheme is not Zone/ZBS nor Gap/Power. It is Ad*****d Huggie Bear.

Look for midround value nuggets. Campen emphasizes fundamentals starting day one at Off Season Program.
