I'd be surprised if he is gone by the Charger pick. Derwin James types tend to drop in a loaded first round.
Qbs, OTs, corners, pass rushers are just sitting there for those teams to salivate over.
Questions about his physicality and other needs will cause the top 5 teams to pass on him.
Jedrick Wills feet and hands combo are some of the best I have seen over the years.
Trade down if humanly possible.
Even the fourth best OT would be dandy
The raw athleticism of the entire OL, DL, & LB groups is impressive. Much better than I anticipated. Confirms a lot of what you see on tape. As always a few names I didn’t have at all and a few that require rechecks/more study.
I've seen almost every game Herbert played and he made throws today that he never or seldom made at Oregon. I've been in a mode of hoping the pundits are wrong and we won't draft him but he sure was making all the throws today. I sure wonder why the difference? If we do take him now, I'll feel better about the pick. He showed he can put some air under it and threw some softer passes in the shorter routes. Surprised me.
All these QBs have been working with private coaches since their bowls games. Guys like Jordan Palmer get them primed for the combine and pro day. They make adjustments and tighten things up. Then go out to the shooting range and hit targets in front of people. Thats really all this is. Private workouts are where they really vet a QB.
