It had to kill Bosa and our defense ;last year watching our offense stinking up the game and struggling to score points every week......
What really helps a pass rush is scoring over 30 points per game..... that forces the opposing team to abandon the run and pass and pass which makes pass rushing much much easier...... Reid understands this and that is why he built his team to score lots of points quickly..... and why he has owned the Chargers since he took the chiefs job....
You asked about Kaep. He came within two passes of winning two Super Bowls.
Then the NFL learned how to scheme and effectively defend him. Mahomes is two passes from not winning a Super Bowl.
It is all too close to be making blanket statements. Welcome to the cycles of football.
I hope the Chargers build their D.
And one of these OTs would be nice.
Trade down ! lol.We do not play modern football.

today it is also far easier to score over 30 points than it is to stop teams from scoring.......with the rules the way they are, its nearly impossible to play great defense no matter how good your players are...........
Chargers number one problem last year was inability to score points...... so it is good that this draft is loaded with offensive talent..... at least 2 great QB's, a number of great OL, lots of great WR's and RB's, and a number of good receiving TE's......
Now Denzel Mims is creeping up.
Hell, we can find one in round 6.We do not play modern football.

I don't think Simmons is going to be there at 6. I actually think the Lions might take him .
Chargers I think are going Herbert but right now - if Simmons is not there - Brown is the pick. The Chargers need an interior DL almost as much as a starting OT. I would approve of Brown or Simmons if the pick is not QB.

I like the talent.
Mostly, it's about the accuracy.
But will TT resist ?
He's got some Polian algorithm
for ROI on injury prone players.
Here I thought Lamp/Feeney were clean prospects.
But take Wills/Wirfs.
They are so can't miss.
Day one starters.
Oh, the cap relief from not spending on UFA Oline.
Their Combine performances match the scouting reports and game tape.
Did you see and hear Wills hitting the bag during his drills ?
There was a powerful, powerful thump,
followed by the crowd applauding wildly.
And the feet.
Wirfs and his quads.
Ok I'll stop.We do not play modern football.

Too ambitious for my blood
”prisoner of the moment” virus, spread by the highly visible and marketed combine
Positional value dictates QB over all
we have a need, even if Tyrod suddenly plays out of his mind, he’s 30, and depends highly on athleticism
we just lost our franchise QB
Tua’s medical is checking out positively and is scheduled to be cleared in a week
even if he misses a few games, that’s where Tyrods’s real value comes in
im even happy if Tua redshirts 2020
we need to occasionally outscore KC
Tua’s downfield accuracy is special
gives Bosa and James a reason to stay
too many reasons why even Telesco can’t afford to pass on Tua if he land on his laps.Chargers vs. Everyone

Well, if he lands on his lap, expect him to be sitting there the whole season. I would rather draft Hurts or Fromm in the second round than burn our #6 pick on Tua. Tua would be worth our #37 pick as a gamble we could live with.Chiefs won the Superbowl with 10 Rookies....
