I'll take Burrow, bet he has a better career than any QB in 2020 draft.

Who has it better than us?

My gamble is that Tua falls to us.
We would have to give up too much
      to trade up for Burrow.
That is at least as risky as Tua's perceived health issues.
Too much conventional wisdom in this world.

My guess is we wait until the latter rounds and take one of the lesser known QB that has a strong arm, hoping to coach him up.

IMV 'Roo , TPB is grossly undervaluing Tua's arm talent,
and freaking out about this "injury prone" shite.

I do not care how good AL WRs are.
          Dime after dime.
          And the comp is Rivers.

Why is it too much? How much? If we’re sitting at, say ... #8? 2 #1s plus ... what? Another #3? That probably works as we seldom select an NFL player at pick 3 anyway.

I’m not trusting in the Tua pick either. Maybe we’re wrong in the end, but the combo of injuries plus Bama makes me leery. What’s the last good QB to come out of Alabama?

Agree. GMs are risk averse, Tua drops to the Chargers, the Chargers draft him and Telesco says they had been targeting him since his Honolulu days.

I'm not sold on Burrow: he's a great college qb behind a great Oline. He's not the typical qb slotted to go top 5..

But figure this.......with all of the possessions in a game, your team scores 3 TD's and 3 FG's. 30 points. Not a far fetched or a greedy total IMHO. Well your kicker is directly responsible for 12 of your 30 points or 40% of your final score. That's on par with that of a great WR or running back play for a game, right?

I have watched this kid kick for 4 years and he is ALL of that. And for the love of OUR 3rd round choices, I'll take a chance on a true 15 year game changer over a Mager or some D3 tackle.

                Respect the SPECS!!!
Sorry bud but we have a kicker that is a keeper. Hec Mclaughton was a keeper too in my view. Did well with us and doing well in SF

IMO, Tua's talent is undeniable. I think Burrow will go first and Tua will go second. The team doctors will check him our at Indy. His ankles should be fine by then. If he should drop to the Bolts, I hope they take him.
I understand the people that are leery due to his injuries but that kind of talent is worth the risk. I don't expect him to fall to us but Derwin James said"you never know". :whistlin:

All this talk about Tua and Burrow...you guys are all smokin' the shit. LOL. Doesn't matter how great you think they are, or will be...the Bengals and Dolphins will be taking them, and I doubt they will be fielding anything but outrageous offers...and not only do I think we shouldn't do that...I doubt our front office would do that.

I mean...I hate to piss on anybody's parade...honestly....but give me a realistic scenario where we are in a position to get either one of those guys. We would have to finish with 4-6 wins to even be in range....I doubt we do that poorly.

I also doubt Miami or Cincy are sellers....especially if Tua tests out well next spring.

I have actually been watching some Tua footage lately...have to admit, really like the arm talent...I haven't seen much of that in some of the games this year...but going back to last season, I see what all the fuss is about. I would be worried about the injury issues, but not actually upset if we took him...except I just don't think we will even get the chance.

I'm calling my shot....if we take a QB first round this year? Jalen Hurts. Lotta RPO capable QBs have been in our training camps lately...including Stick. That is not an accident. If the ownership is behind TT going forward, and TT is behind Lynn...that's how it's going down.
                        Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

It's too risky to take Tua at 11.
It's not too risky to take Tua at 2.
