May be regrets now but there weren't then or they would of drafted him. The draft is a now thing and those teams that passed on him at the time didn't need a QB.....so they thought.
The Niners passed on him for Smith because alledgedly the HC at the time didn't like Rodgers demeaner in the interviews.

Hopefully LAC will have no remorse about JLove...

          j/k jolt !

          It's all crazy.
Even Kaep came within two throws of maybe winning two Super Bowls.
          vs SEA
          &
          vs BAL.

          LAC ?
I am hesitant to mock right now.

Lol, I never mock til after the combine. This year however, I'm not keeping up as much. Not going back to look at videos as much. Just got too much going on with work and such.

I didn't watch one senior bowl practice or the game.

I see Indy offering #44 pick to move up from #13 to #6.

                = @ Trade Value Chart.

                We will be fine @ #13 and make a killing @ #37, #44.

They want a QB to groom behind Rivers...Herbert.

I make this trade...LAC get some pieces, and draft a value QB prospect later to sit w/Stick behind Tie Rod.

Hope we would get a little more than that for trading out of top 10. Chart, shart.....get 44 and a 4th.

                    You off the Tua bandwagon?

My thoughts are you do not trade out of the top 10. But there are a lot of factors to consider. What happens in the 5 pics before us? Do they think Herbert has checked all of the boxes and can be elite? What are we getting in return? If I knew for a fact that trading out would get us three day one starters then I would probably pull the trigger. But there is no guarantee to that. At 6, there is a better than average chance that you get an elite player.
The The other thing to consider is we are going into a new stadium and trying to fill it up now. You need to bring in a guy that can be a face for the organization that the fans can get behind. The QB is the obvious glamorous choice, but Tua probably won't even see the field next year and I don't know that Herbert has that type of charisma.

                        OK. OK.
I forgot what a tough crowd this is.
Apparently, TPB now thinks Herbert is pretty good.
I am now demanding BOTH of Indy's round 2 picks.
Sweeten the pot, Ballard & Reich.
Add pick #34 from Indy ie the very second pick of day two of the NFL Draft.
Bonus points of ~ 550 on the TVC.
                        We now have #6, #34, #37, #44 & #71.
How about a round three comp pick too ???
All for moving down seven spots.
                        Even Critty is excited now.
                        He likes extra picks.
