We went after Steve smith last year, so when Andre Johnson gets released we should go after him too. Both play the game the same way. Andre is good in the locker room as well. I know he's 33 but I still feel like he's got a few years of production left.

Correct me if I am wrong, but after they are cut, their previous contract means nothing. They are a FA....new contract, new terms. I definitely would NOT trade a pick for those bad contracts, but starting from scratch after they are cut is a whole different ball game.

As to Cobb. He is a slot guy only IMO. He is very good at it, but I would not pay 9MM a year for him at all. He also played with Nelson on the outside and in a great system with a great QB. If he leaves Gb, his best days are behind him IMO.

Yea if Johnson is cut its a no brainer to see if he would take a 2 year deal at a fair price. I agree trading a draft pick and taking on those contracts would have been bad business.

Id rather have Maclin over Cobb.

Also instead of Cobb id rather have Johnson/Royal for the money it would cost for Cobb alone. Just for 2 years though. Draft a slot guy this year or next. Allen can play the slot as well.

I think Jones will get some WR work. Maybe slot if Royal is gone but at a min the 4th/5th WR spot which in our offense is probably much more than with the Raven's run heavy team. I think there is a lot of upside to this....he's not a #1 or #2 type but as a guy getting the 3rd or 4th best DB on him he can cause some mismatches with his speed and shiftiness. I think he's get better size at 6'2" too which is appealing. Jut got to get a good feel for Rivers at this point.
