Guess we'll know soon enough. Maybe they are zeroed in on Staley and all the Daboll stuff is just noise. Of what's available, these two are probably at the top of my list. It would be interesting to see what a good defensive coaching staff could do with the pieces we have on that side of the ball. I don't want to limit Herbert, but defenses win in January.

The lack of blitzing by Staley yesterday against Aaron Rodgers was a very Gus Bradley type performance.
It’s concerning and I actually liked Staley quite a bit and preferred him over Daboll.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
- 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
- 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
- Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
- Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

Pat McAfee has Rodgers on his show every Tuesday and he talks about the games, what he saw, what he was thinking, etc. Its a great segment. Im sure he will talk about the Rams defense from that game.

Every QB in the league plays better when the defense gives them all the time to throw the ball. This isn’t classified information.
Read somewhere that Staley doesn’t blitz much in general and just relies on his 4 man rush to develop pressure on QBs. This works when you have the type of DL that the Rams have but it won’t work in most other places including Chargers.Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
