Still no word on Jay Rodgers...I don't know why this bothers me so much...guess I see a mystery, I wanna solve it.

Also, no head offensive line coach.

Maybe one of you twitter guys can light up some of these beat writers, clue them in to what the fans want to know...seems awful quiet on the Chargers front...

Frank Smith has 5 yrs OL exp
J Rodgers on wiki is also our D line coach. I think either he or Giff will also be the run game coord in addition to DL coach

What I read is he wanted out period because Gase is a lame duck and everyone is expected to be fired either mid or end of the next season.

• Speaking of the Chargers, Staley is at least getting who he wants for one position. Los Angeles is hiring Raiders tight ends coach Frank Smith away to be their new offensive line coach and run game coordinator, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com tweets. Smith and Staley previously served on Vic Fangio’s Bears staff together, so there’s a connection there. As Gutierrez points out, Smith did a great job in helping Darren Waller blossom into one of the league’s best tight ends.
