I find it very hard to believe they ve been offered a 1st despite what they say, but who knows. If they were they probably shouldve taken it.

And that's what it means when they say you can never have enough CBs or Edge rushers. They mean good ones and why we aren't bringing Mel back.

Joey misses games every season so we need better depth and imo Rochelle wasn't it.
I wouldn't mind a 1 year deal for Justin Houston if he hasn't signed anywhere. He is 32 but he has been a lot better than Mel throughout his career.

I'd also kind of like to see if we could work out a deal for Houston...dude still has some gas left in the tank with 8 sacks last year--not bad for an old man...with Bosa at the other Edge, and rotating Justin to keep him fresh, I think he'll be solid...

but if they can't trade him and they don't have cap room to keep him, after June 1 they'll release him - then the only problem is that salary - I think he'd be worth that.
