They had the best young QB in the league (also had a rookie 1st rd pick OT starting for them - Bryan Bulaga) the behind their QB they won three straight on the road to get to the SB, beating their arch rival, the division champ Bears, in Chicago in the NFC Championship game. Then they beat the Steelers in the SB, winning a total of four games in the playoffs.

The 2012 Baltimore Ravens. They needed a 4th and 29 miracle just to get into the playoffs. They lost four of their five games in December to close out the season, just good enough to win their division at 10-6. They went into the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, and everybody thought they were going to be an early exit. But once they were in, they got hot. They won three playoff games, two on the road, including the AFC Championship in New England. Then they beat the 49ers in the SB - four consecutive post-season wins.

The Chargers are a new and young team - new in that they have a totally new identity with Herbert at QB and a new coach/system - and they are dangerous, with the best young QB in the game. They will have had a full 17-game season to learn how to play in a new system, under new coaches. If they get into the playoffs, even as a wildcard, IMO they are primed to get hot and start reeling off wins.
Yep...(Howard Cosell voice): Just goes to show that on ANY given Sunday, ANYTHING can happen!

I remember that game. He didn't make the 4th and 29. It took, not a miracle but good old fashioned NFL corruption and comically bad officiating.

Soooo right. He absolutely did not make the line to gain. It was obvious, it wasn't even that close. But the Zeebs gave it to him. It was an absolute joke. The Chargers would've taken over and run out the clock, and that would have been the ball game. The Ravens would not have even made the playoffs if that play had been called correctly. But they end up winning the Super Bowl.

Before you could challenge a spot. Otherwise that nice little story would never have happened and Jin Harbaugh and Colin Kaepernick may have won a Super Bowl. Of course the Ravens also got the benefit of a power outage in that game. Better to be lucky than good

Los Angeles ChargersProjected to make playoffs: 55.4%

The Chargers and Bengals are neck and neck to make the playoffs (0.1 percent separates their chances). Should the Chargers upset the Chiefs in Week 15, that would be a game-changer (a season-changer, too). With a win over Kansas City, the Bolts' chances to win the division shoot up to 62.8 percent. That'd also set up a pivotal Week 17 matchup with the Broncos. A win there could put L.A. in pole position for a first-round bye heading into Week 18.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

There was also that game when the Ravens beat the Broncos in the playoffs. The Broncos' secondary let a Ravens' WR beat them on a long pass for a TD. I'm convinced certain Denver players allowed that.

They say how "you can't make this stuff up". Oh, but you can.

Games are staged and scripted. It isn't just the referees who manipulate games. Players and coaches are in on it too. Those who are in on the secret and have connections.

There are Youtube channels who expose the cheating of NFL games. One Youtube channel I can give you is a Youtuber called Lobo. He shows you how players do things on purpose to screw their own team. When you see more about this, you'll see how crazy it is.

I would not be surprised in the slightest.

Are we supposed to believe that Tim Donaghy is the only ref to ever fix games? Or the Black Sox the only team to take a dive? No they were the only ones dumb enough to get caught.

If Denver wins Sunday, we are actually in 3rd place because they beat us.

They aren't losing to Detroit. That game will literally decide if we make the playoffs or not and we don't match up well with them.
