Pipkins played well in 1 game this season. Do not get ahead of yourselves.
Pip is a monstrous question mark at best. 1 performance, good or bad, does not make a player.
Trey should enter 2022 TC as no more than our 4th OT. If he earns a higher spot then it’s earned.
    We must upgrade this position.

Well now, let's not get too carried away...Pip had ONE more or less decent game against a defensive line missing Chris Jones, and Pip got some chipping and blocking help...he's still a backup for a reason...

Exactly. If Pip beats out whoever the Bolts bring in via FA or the draft, fine. Next season is the last year on his 4-year deal, so if he earns a spot on the roster, he's a cheap backup. If someone else beats him out, good...it means we upgraded...

Funny how we've elevated Norton now. I still think he's back up.
After Bulaga got injured, who else would you have elevated to starter besides Norton?

Derwin played how long last week? What do you mean he’s been healthy the entire season? So you agree last year we were 5-9 and this year 8-6 and you assert those are the same. Gotcha,

Agree about the opponent but not the help. sure he got help on some plays. But he was exposed alone on a LOT of plays and stoned the defender(s) cold. The dude has taken so much shit here for so long - give props where earned. He EARNED props tharrr.

that said, I’ve got him penciled in as my backup LT and still unable to make the switch to RT … until proven otherwise. He’s not starting for me this year or next

He is in my book. Still drafting a starter and one good thing about Norton is he has been durable.....so far.

I didn't make myself clear I guess. When I said "now we're elevating him" I mean, some are praising him now and I don't think he deserves praise, although I do think he's better now than he was early in the year he's still not ready to be a starting OT.

                      Exactly right...Norton has improved...but he's still a backup...

Or, to use one of my favorite expressions: Norton isn't exactly the Titanic, but he IS a serviceable old rust bucket tramp steamer who can get the job mostly done, usually...
