    Ok this is twisted.
    Along with the obscene mock.

Instincts and genius coaching (StaleyD) leads to opportunistic defenders stationing themselves in the correct places, in a stealth manner.

Uber athletes fly around and get there a tick2late (gusD).

I guess it boils down to a philosophical approach, gotta have enough of each I suppose
in general, if I had a great coach, i lean towards the athletically gifted
whereas when I have inferior coaching, I want guys with good instincts who don't depend on coaching as much for direction
locus of control, player vs coach

Renaldo, Brandon and Eye tryin' to take The Trenchers to phd level.

Just a friendly reminder...one of the big ways to improve Oline play is to play excellent scoring defense. With leads, defenses can be neutralized, as far as teeing off goes.

          I want winners.

I saw this and it’s just super impressive again, the down to earth demeanor and helpful nature of BS.
definitely a visionary who sees the whole picture

scoring defense noted, more than 1 way to skin a Chief

There's also a link to Nick Saban talking about this stuff...worth listening to, maybe while multitasking...heady stuff...enlightening about the neverending cycles of football.

                Nick Saban sharing split-safety coverage.

Worst 3rd down defense in the NFL just got worse, and against one of the worst offenses in the NFL.

Someone has to be held accountable. I'd start with Renaldo Hill. Then Telesco after the season is over.

Anyone want to defend Hill's performance at this point? I think ChargersPowderBlue has been one of the few posters calling him out for a while now.

Hill is nothing more that an inexperienced DB coach. Very poor hire. Most good teams have a DC that has been a DC for a few years along with some prior HC experience (KC, Dallas, Tampa, Rams, etc). we have poor boy owners, a lapdog GM, and inexperienced coaching. Lets not waste JH like we did PR.

Blame Hill if you want but Staley is the real coordinator.

Yep! this is the real answer

Granted, if Fangio is fired by Denver - I do wonder if Staley would be averse to making the phone call. Might not be fair to Hill but as a fan, Fangio might be a better DC. Probably is a better DC than Hill and oh well... the Chargers kept Stewart around way too much.

Yes, but who's supposed to be over seeing the development and organization of the talent or non-talent on defense. What about during game time and changes during game time. If he's doing as much as you say he's doing then he's way over stretched and doing a piss poor job everywhere because of it. Clearly having a bunch of 1st and 2nd year players is too much even for a head coach who knows what he's doing on defense.

                          :wtf2:
