We need players getting reps that can stretch the field. Taking reps from Guyton and Johnson is not a good thing. Having a backup for Williams is fine. But I do not care for Allen, Williams and Palmer on the field at the same time in a 3 WR set.
I hear you. Stretching the field is vital. Would love to add a freaky threat like Waddle next draft.

Ifeatu Melifonwu looked impressive against him. The other dudes stocks dropped. I think we picked up #26.

Palmer had a sudden first step
great route running but needs to be more aggressive at the catch point and be better at boxing out the db
Like the forward lean with separete lower half which helps keep dbs guessing.
            G-Ro knows.

Melifonwu is going to be a very good CB with the Lions. He had a great SeniorBowl week.
              #26 is Webb.

Palmer lost a few reps in that clip. He won about 80%. I’ll take that on a Sunday/Monday/Thursday/ and sometimes Saturday.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I would be tickled pink for this. Why? it means they're all healthy and available to play at a high caliber.

Because of the arm that Herbert has and his ability to buy time in/out of the pocket, teams automatically have to respect the deeper routes, even if they don't fear the WR speed. But I do agree with your overall premise and am looking forward to Guyton and Johnson seeing the field more and developing more. Staley appears smart enough to know that a dink and dunk offense won't get you all the way there. I think Johnson has a tremendous amount of potential.

Absolutely. I think it's even worse with Herbert than with Rivers. Rivers had pinpoint accuracy, but not the arm that Herbert had. You needed receivers who could go up and get a perfectly placed ball over defenders. With Herbert he can throw it deep to receivers. Separation is more valuable because he can hit receivers that are really open deep down the field. Hebert's accuracy on the short/intermediate routes isn't on Rivers level yet. Use guys who separate and get behind the defense.

This is not to say don't have a Williams or Palmer, but you don't need too many.
