It may just be a defense mechanism in order to ingratiate himself to other teams and coaches should he require employment after his tenure here ends. More than likely he's already seeing the writing on the wall that he may need to be a position coach or a coordinator for several years after in order to get another head coaching opportunity.Comment

The Spanos need to call Harbaugh's agent now and let them know he is the HC they want next season, and they want to negotiate with him the moment he's ready. This organization since moving to LA has gone up substantially! If they want to stay in LA its time to bring in the big-time head coach or move back to SD and name Moore or our special teams coach as the next HC! Harbaugh just said he wants to go somewhere he's wanted! It's time to make him feel wanted here!Comment

Reid would have been a good long term choice. Not sure there are any others right now in that category. BB seems to be on his last
leg at 71 years old. We've tried the youth movement and that hasn't worked.
If we miss the PO this year chances are good that Staley is out. TT as well. With all the dead cap and bad cap situation next year don't
be surprised at a major reboot. Herbert's big money doesn't kick in until the 2025 season.Comment

Happens all the time. The 2010 Packers started 3-3 and won the Super Bowl. The 2012 Ravens lost 4 of their final 5 games but won the Super Bowl. It's far too early to close the book on the Chargers' season. The Bengals started last season 2-3 but at the end of the season came within 3 pts of beating the Chiefs and returning to the SB. If the Chargers beat the Chiefs on Sun the Chargers will have just one more loss than KC with a win over them in their house.Originally posted by electricgold View PostComment
