Carolina - rich owner will probably pay the most and give the most control. Iffy quarterback,no first round pick, no past ties for Harbaugh (if that matters) and the owner is reportedly a "meddler" like in scooby doo? Total start from scratch, no immediate pressure to win.

Chicago - have to sort out Ryan Poles, that may be a problem for Harbaugh, they have lots of draft picks, lots of cap space, I am sure it appeals to him to be the new Ditka since he played under him and Harbaugh can draft JJ McCarthy for his QB. Pretty much a start from scratch no immediate pressure to win.

Chargers - he played here, he supposed loves Herbert, he will get to have a say or hand pick his GM, there is a lot of talent on this team and they just need to score on their last drives of the games. And it's LA which some love and some not so. Will be expected to make playoffs immediately and be strong superbowl contender shortly after. Would be in division with Reid and Payton and that should appeal to his competitiveness which is off the charts.

Washington - don't know much about the new owner, other than is richer than Spanoesesesses. Team needs a QB. Seems like they tore down the defense. Another start over, no immediate pressure.

The Chargers were built to win last year and this year. Going forward a rebuild is needed. There are major question marks up and down the roster. Saving grace is Herbert.
Beyond that there are major issues on both defense and offense. Plus the cap is not our friend. We would not be a SB contender until the roster gets a make over. May
take 2-3 years or longer depending on the GM and draftees. We wouldn't be much of a player in FA with the exception of filling in the roster with mid-level JAGS.

Critical off season to determine the future for the next few years. Mcquire has been good at managing the cap over the years. But Staley and TT have managed to
really mess things up on that front. May take some time to clean up the disaster.

he's too smart not to make an immediate hard pass on CAR. that job has fail slathered all over it. No pressure to win, huh - does Reich agree with that? Bryce Young is a disaster with a huge lost-draft pick hole following him into 2024. Chicago at least has all of those draft picks plus their own. And its Chicago. Da Bears!

They need some players but its not a total rebuild. A good new coach can win with this team. The major issue on defense is their coach. Offense needs some tweak such as RT or OG but its usually scrounging up enough to win if they had a defense. RBs can be found everywhere if you just get a GM that knows how to scout them - they are literally everywhere across the rest of the league from later rounds and UDFA.

Cap is over-exaggerated like it always is. that shit will get solved with little notice.

Pauline’s report details the potential connection between Harbaugh and four teams which could be on his radar. The Chargers reside on that list, which comes as no surprise given the growing belief Brandon Staley is on the hot seat. Los Angeles is one of several potential suitors for Lions OC Ben Johnson, though, and Harbaugh’s conditions for an NFL deal could turn the Chargers elsewhere. The latter is expected to seek an annual salary of $15MM, Pauline reports, a figure more than triple that of Staley’s current compensation.

IF Harbaugh wants 15 million a year to coach the Chargers in Los Angeles you hire him! If they say no they are hopeless!

Harbaugh would give the Chargers instant credibility which they need to be taken seriously by NFL talking heads, but I doubt little Johnny would give up the kind of control Harbaugh would want and deservedly so.

Can you see Harbaugh bending a knee to little Johnnie’s wishes? I can’t.

It's like why do the Spanos want to even play in LA if the don't want to hire someone like Harbaugh when the opportunity is right there! I don't know about you but a Ben Johnson press conference introducing him as the new head coach seems like it would be so irritating trying to sell us fans on and hearing what he has to say!

It would be so good if Herbert could make it clear to the Spanos that he would like Harbaugh here next!

And not committed to winning. But if it’s not Harbaugh, I’m ok with Frank Smith.

Knowing them, they will either go after Ben Johnson, Joe Brady or some other first timer. I also pray that’s it’s not another defensive minded HC. Herbert needs an offensive minded coach to grow with and stop changing schemes. Adding to the scheme is great, just not changing the scheme all the time.

It will take (at least) this long for a good coach to reprogram and/or fix the remaining players after the shit show that has been BS . . . . . . . . . who has managed to take 'Chargering' to new heights.

You can't solve dead cap unless you restructure. Who, when, how much are critical. We are going to lose some of the guys that are due for a big pay day. Just no way
around it. We can come back to this discussion at the beginning of next year when the dust settles.

Major holes at CB, TE, LB, RB and DT are very possible. Even WR is iffy. O line need some work. Not sure if it's a matter of coaching or just need better talent, @RT for
sure. We're going to retain some of the 2nd string guys, especially on D. How good or bad they will be is a question mark. Drafting of major importance coming up.
Who will the GM, HC or guy making the final decision be?

Rebuild for sure, just not sure how far it will go.

We will lose a couple guys, we won’t miss them. We are 3 points from winning what, 9 games? We’re not a horrible roster, a great coach will get them to over achieve, you are used to under achieving and don’t see the possibilities. Cap will be managed, it will be ok - Ed has a plan, he just hasnt sent it to the LA Times.

With good coaching, the Chargers would be 7-4 ?
                        I don't buy it.
I saw the very worst coaching in MIN and we win !

Agree. Good coach can turn sole of those close losses to wins and eliminate those let downs against lesser teams like TN and GB
