I hope he succeeds and under a new offense would not be surprised if he does. For all the criticism, Telesco believed enough to pay $15M, not my money so I am fine with it. Keenan Allen was very injury prone his first contract and has been relatively healthy since, maybe MW does the same. He has a very unique skillset that the dime a dozen receivers in this league do not, for that it is worth waiting just a little bit longer.

"It gives everybody an opportunity to do what they're best at," said Williams. "It gives everyone an opportunity to make plays. That's what we're looking for, as receivers, to make plays, and this offense puts a lot of us in different positions to make plays. We're looking forward to it."

A couple of his offseason goals were getting faster, stronger, and working on every area of his game. He wanted to improve his route running especially and who better to learn from than Allen, who is regarded as one of the best.

"Watching him every day, learn from him," explained Williams. "I'm picking up a lot of things that I can make my game better."

This right here is triggering a lot of Charger fans who are emotionally and spiritually invested in MW failing. If this does indeed happen (MW putting up big number) we may have to talk a lot of fans off the ledge who are going to have a bottle in one hand, a gun in the other and they are about to make a decision.

Its sad that many here will not enjoy MW having a big year.

Remember a big year from MW can only help the team and is not a personal affront or insult to you fans that are invested in his failure.

I hope fans are not rooting for his failure. If he can stay healthy, he'll have a big year.

He'll ride off into the sunset after this year and go play for another team.

Why does anybody around here think they know for certain that MW is gone after this year ?

It won't be a decision based upon your numbers crunching or logic, or necessarily derived from next year's cap or allocation of funds at the position.

It will be a judgement call that is made after the 2021 season.

As fans of the Chargers, we shouldn't even be flinging this shit on the wall.

Not only will it NOT stick, but it is sleazy to go there in the first place.

By picking up his option, the Chargers have shown their desire to keep MW's services. Based on that, I wouldn't be surprised if he signs a multiyear contract sooner than later.
