I like Carr but I have to agree with the great description above. He does some head scratching things that really cost his team. You do have to admire how he handled the whole Gruden thing. From the day Gruden was hired he was negative on Carr. Then when things sort of stabilized Gruden and Ruggs and all the other idiots there imploded but Carr just kept on going. He is jus tnever going to be an elite QB.

Agreed. If the first order of business is for McDaniels to run the current starting QB out of town i think for sure a Denver repeat is on track. I cannot decide if he learned from his mistakes and will truly be a Belicheck (who royally screwed up in Cleveland as the HC) or if he will be another Eric Mangini who keeps getting jobs and never learns. Belicheck always gets rid of the incumbent starting QB so it is not unreasonable for Joshy to do that. Bill did it to the revered Bernie Kosar and then to Drew Bledsoe.

Carr may not be elite, but he is an above average QB...and now that he's reunited with his old Fresno State buddy, Davonte Adams, he's going to be better...Raiders will be tough, but still beatable...

I have a hunch McDaniels is going to be a pretty good coach his 2nd time around. He was really immature in his first stint as HC. But we know he has the intelligence and ability. He sounds much more humble and mature now. We'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if the Raiders surprise this season, but I still think Carr will hold them back, unless they are playing with a good lead toward the end of every game.
