I thought Staley was whisked away to a bomb shelter somewhere after the Cowboys game. They finally let him out for presser. Maybe he was in Joe's basement?

                Is someone questioning Herbert?

                  Herbert's leadership has been questionable.
Red zone offense had been a clusterf**k. Herbert's in charge.
He's a special athlete at QB, smart, great guy.
He also has to work with the people he has to get the job done. Take control. Excuses don't win Championships.

I’m not gonna look up the stats but it seems he did pretty well in the RZ last year (or maybe that was cuz they scored on bombs). I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt for now

I listened to Staley’s press conference. Still like his approach and what he says. Do want to see it translate on the defensive side. He thinks the run defense was poor because of execution and taking the wrong angles. Didn’t say that they got mauled at the line of scrimmage. I do think Tranquil needs more PT. Murray is on a short leash. He needs to show up this week.

I don't think it was all execution issues, but there were definitely execution issues with everyone being on the same page gap-wise, over pursuit, etc. Execution issues make any defense look bad.
