Woods has height, speed and ball skills. The overdraft was worth it. Like Rumph last year, he’ll be worth the wait.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
      The Wasted Decade is done.

How does Telesco still have a friggin job? Division or exit Tommy Polian
Rome wasn't built in a day.

Special teams has been the longest running thorn in the Chargers' side. Defense we already know will be much improved, but special teams is what I'm most worried about...

            Telesco / Staley
            Top 5 offense
            One of NFL's best OLs.
Excellent speed in secondary, decent at WR, RB
Very good K, P, LS, KR
New D, lots of stars, quality
Year 1, no playoffs. Year 2, TBD.

It doesn't matter why he's here. We just got lucky I guess.

4.4 guys are pretty fast. In a functional sense, the difference between a 4.3 and a 4,4 guy is pretty much nill. It really only shows up at track meets.

I think the big thing is that the DB we have now are much more accomplished man-to-man defenders than we were under Gus. The key to both defenses was being able to mix in some man-to-man D. Gus' D really struggled because we never had that element. The Legion of Boom played very limited coverages, but the press man-to-man with the SS in the box, really compliments cover 3. Staley's D too does a good job of hiding guys and making it hard for QB to know what the coverage is. The QB has to wait to see how it develops and that gives the pass rush a lot more time to get to the ball.

Gonzales just got burned in end zone. Late to find the ball, despite his size, caught over his head. Wouldn’t rule him out when Chargers on the clock (late twenties early 30’s). Maybe still there?

Has any other GM in history got a tenth year being under 500?...... let alone with 2 franchise QBs, the first of which was already in place?
The coaches all had short leashes, but the Spanos family gave the GM an incredibly long leash.
Begs the question: Who picked the previous 2 coaches, the GM or owners?

Yes, The Rams GM is under .500,.....believe it or not. Yes he just won a SB but he was under .500 before last season and still is.

                      Moral of the story:
Telesco could be now coming into his own.

Spanos hired a consultant for a HC search when they hired McCoy and word is JohnBoy is the one who liked Lynn. So.....who knows.

Wow, Surprising to hear. He did keep Jeff Fisher way too long.
It does appear the players Staley wants are being drafted so maybe it continues to improve.
