Did you hear the praise a few minutes ago for the Rams backup tackle Joseph Nateboom? He's filling in for starting LT Andrew Whitworth and performing well. He's a 2018 3rd pick of the Rams, 6-5, 320ish lbs. He's an unrestricted free agent after this season. Could you see him at starting RT for the Chargers?

It has nothing to do with whether we would have picked Burrow at #1. Of course we would have. It has everything to do with Burrow being anointed the new QB god and getting valuable post season experience and wins in his second season (and first full season). It puts him squarely at the top of the class. And with that comes painful memories of Ben and Eli, generous calls and media live that influences everything.

With only Bosa, and to a lesser extent, Jones, the Chargers don't possess the talent to run Staley's scheme in Year One. Had Nwosu played the way he did in the final Raider game, ALL SEASON, we would likely see the merits of Staley's scheme.

In sum, Cut Staley some slack, and become a louder vocal opposition to Telesco, to what he has done for the roster in the later rounds, where football teams are made. That dude is the issue, not Staley.

You are not making the playoffs with the 31st ranked run defense.

That falls squarely at the feet of telesco who has been here 9 years and still cant build a Dline.

BTW the Rams' Cam Akers is the other RB the Chargers could've drafted in the 2nd round in 2020 (the first being Jonathan Taylor) with the pick that Telesco used to move up to draft Kenneth Murray.
