Oh damn, that really hurts. He was one owner who had no fear of signing free agents to help the club.

Hopefully, they don't sell to another owner like Tom Werner (look up who he is).

An extremely giving and wonderful human being.
He will be greatly missed in San Diego.
            RIP

If the Packers play @ Philly in the playoffs, this could be the theme song. Listening to it brings back memories of being in high school mid '70s, playing on the varsity football team, being in love with Kim McGuire, a cheerleader, who had the hots for one of my teammates, not me.

This thread looks like a good place to drop this.

What the F* is with all these players and their girlfriends getting crammed in our face every damn time we turn around. Is the nfl that desperate for viewers?

NFL will do just about ANYTHING for ratings (and $$$)...think of all the extra tickets they sell to fans who care nothing about football, but show up just for a glimpse of T. Swift up in the box...oh, and how about the NFL's slimy partnership with online gambling companies? What's next? An NFL and porn partnership?

Sex sells!......so sure. I recall when gambling was very frowned upon. Hec they suspend players today for a year placing any bets. Vegas was said to NEVER get a team because of gambling yet, here we are.

This really concerns me. Gambling is very addictive and a large swath of American families are going to be ruined by fathers who blow their paychecks on betting online. I use to live in a area where there where a number of tribal casinos with in easy driving distance, and it devastates families. That is why gambling was illegal for so long. It's as addictive as drugs. The NFL is putting itself in the same position as the Sackler family, who owned Purdue Pharma and pushed opioids on millions of Americans, which has morphed into the fentanyl crisis.

The gambling is just stoopid and it makes the games seem fixed sometimes. The current game is so diluted with the rules, the LOFT, and shitty owners that care only about the money. I'm not sure what the nfl is trying to accomplish other than to make money for the owners.

The one positive thing the FUdeans did for me is I'm just a casual fan now. No more stress that always led to disappointment.

and speaking of sex, Dolly Parton? Seriously? Love her and all but that halftime show was kinda painful to watch.

That was a sad day, the Pads are the only San Diego sports we have left and being a cancer survivor, he was a kindred spirit of sorts. Rest in paradise sir.

I hope they play this next year for him and win the damn thing once and for all.
