    Could be simple solution :stirringshit:
Salyer hasn't been given any reps at tackle, at all, as far as *eye* know. Pretty sure the coaches know he's not a candidate to play RT.

The Chargers started 4-1, with wins over WFT, Chiefs, Browns and Raiders. Their only loss was to the Cowboys by 3, with help from the refs, who took a Chargers' TD off the board with a questionable call. The could very well have been 5-0.

Then, they went 5-7 over their next 12 games. It had better not happen this season.

You know what, Roo? Regarding Turnstile Tevi, I thought he actually played better towards the end of his stay here at LT rather than RT...but he's gone now, and he's too similar to a few others on our roster, like Pip and Storm...okay for backups, but not starter material...now, having said that, I hope Pip proves me wrong and turns into a serviceable starter...
        (unless Salyer beats him out)

Jamaree Salyer getting looks at right tackle

Jamaree Salyer, who's played almost exclusively at guard throughout OTAs and training camp, received some looks at right tackle on Tuesday. As a member of Georgia's National Championship squad, Salyer played left tackle but has been deemed a guard at the NFL level by draft experts, and the Chargers' staff has looked as if they agree with that sentiment based on how they've deployed him early on.

With the reps Salyer received on the right side, he fit right in without looking out of sorts. Chargers coaches and veteran players have raved about Salyer's pure ability and football intelligence since camp began, so perhaps they're taking a closer look at what he has to offer at right tackle, putting his versatility to the test.

Yep...u could be right there, Leslie...all this hype about Pip at Duke's Summer Fun Camp and how he's suddenly so improved...okay, I'll believe it when I see it...I sure hope the Bolts have a TRUE fair competition for starter at RT...if Salyer does shine, time for Pip to ride some pine...

That was nine days ago. I read a recent report that was very critical of his footwork vs Dallas. He's a work in progress IMO.
ps: I like the guy but I see a G.

Middle stretch is also where Mike Williams was most impaired by injury.

Cowboys got after Herbert last year in season also. I think he was hit around 10 times in that game. Its not like our guys have no history with this DL. Boys could have a solid front 7.

Two words, if the Chargers fade again and miss the playoffs: Sean Payton.
