The more I watch the Pick 6 play,
the more I see it as ...
--1. Not a good decision by Herbert to go there with the football.
--2. Not a good effort by Herbert to tackle Watson.

Again, why was Everett tired ?
Because he exerted great effort on other plays,
including the play just prior to the pick.

    And BTW,
    Hurry Up offense by Lombardi
    is not exactly "too conservative."
We do not play modern football.

Staley also noted that the play where Jackson was in coverage on a 41-yard touchdown wasn't the cornerback's fault, even though he was the nearest defender on the play.

"There should be a middle-of-the-field safety. He's playing it exactly how he should," Staley said of Jackson. "There should be a post safety that should be making an interception on that play. The field safety didn't rotate to the post. J.C. Jackson was not beat on that play. He was playing the perfect leverage.

      Who was that safety ?

If your QB throws the ball where it is supposed to go, I find it really hard to question the decision. For all we know, Herbert may or may not have seen Everett signal to take himself out while running up the field to set the play up and even if he did, if Everett truly couldn't go he should have taken a knee. As I posted in another thread, someone reported in one of the KC post game reviews that the Chief defenders noticed that Everett did not complete his routes many times when he was tired and they picked up on that. I didn't hear the report so take it with a grain of salt but it really reinforces the issue being Everett, not Herbert.

IMV Herbert should have gone somewhere else with the football.
            He forced it in.
            And...Everett ran an incorrect route.
Hurry Up is designed to create "cheap yardage."
It just wasn't there with Everett on that play.

I wasn't a fan of the hurry up but if Everett doesn't quit on the route it is a TD or at worst an incomplete pass.

                1. No Way. Everette screwed Herbie. His play was to read the DB and make a cut. Based on where the DB was, his move was to cut inside. He knows it, Herbie knows it, We ALL know it. But watch the Popper All-22 and its ever worse than I thought. not only didn’t he make the cut - he first hip-faked to Herbie he was going to cut inside like he was supposed to … and then right as Herbie throws the ball, he suddenly for no reason jumps outside out of the path of the pass. He fucked Herbie on that play and they both knew it (based on sideline view of those two after the play). That is 100% on Everett, 1000%. 10,000% Everett forever and always.

This court could care less if Everett was tired. He’s getting paid 6-point-5 Fucking Million Dollars to be a Big Man, its 4th quarter goal line against the Chiefs for the win. No “tired” excuse will be entertained in this court - it was a 4 yard route, he can fall down for 3 yards, and he simply fucked it up. The physical impairment defense is rejected with prejudice by the court.

                2. Herbie is NEVER responsible to tackle any defender running back any turnover ever. There are 10 other offensive players on the field, its their job to ensure Herbie never has to tackle anyone. your second complaint is hereby rejected on procedural grounds. You clearly do not know who the fuck Herbie is

Herbie IS the Golden God and is hereby absolved of all liability on THE PLAY. Case Dismissed!

Herbert can’t tackle. I heard Marilyn Monroe couldn’t cook.

                      Dear rich, dmac & jammer.

Phil Rivers was a better tackler than Herb.
I will die on this hill.

LOL - I haven't seen enough tackle attempts to conclude either way about Herbert. The way he knocked out the KC linebacker a year or so ago was pretty spectacular though!
