When your offense doesn't sustain drives that's what happens to defenses. They start losing steam. That's how important keeping offensive drives going. They wore down our defense.

If they lost steam in the 4rth quarter, that would be understandable.

I really want to know more about that play call/design. I also thought I heard Herbert say "Kill, Kill, Kill" before the snap. Then, as the play unfolded, it looked like Herbert thought he was giving it to Bandy but Bandy thought he was a diversion and supposed to run past the fake handoff.

What happened. Who is to blame on that? What was the original play call? If Lombo....well, c'mon all. You HAVE to get onboard the train now, right?

The OC is responsible - all that should have been straightened out a long time ago.
There should zero confusion as to what each player should be doing before a snap.

We had a 5 and a half minute time of possession advantage in the game so we should not have been worn out. And how about this - make a stop on D just one time and we win. They scored 31 points on their last 5 possessions with no stops by the D. The O deserves some blame too, just like the ST with the bad coverage and missed field goals but the D was awful when we needed it.

That is probably how it shakes out and we will be stuck with the same results on D as this year. Better hope we hire an all world OC to cover up the many defensive flaws.
