Hopefully a new OC can further develop and enhance Herbert's game.

While that attempt at humor might garner you a participation trophy, it has nothing to do with the fact that Spanos was never going to fire Staley after the season. Anyone that follows the team could have told you this. That doesn't mean he shouldn't have been fired - just that he wasn't going to get fired.

Agree - the D let them score 31 points on their last 5 drives of the game. Even one stop and we advance. If they are going to keep Staley, I'd like them to replace Hill and let another DC take over and call the D. Just not sure that happens.

That's how cheap Dean is. He won't fire a guy and pay his 8 mil for 2 seasons so he certainly isn't going to hire Payton for 15 mil per season.

I don't know how anyone who has followed this team for any length of time doesn't know that.

I guess Hill is safe? The defense has sucked 2 years running now though we had a little improvement this year.

By reading the posts here there is some serious uphill sledding convincing the fans in this forum of this fact. The seasoned fans have embraced and accepted this a long long time ago. It sucks watching newer fans open their eyes and realize we are just not being dicks. I really feel bad for that fan because I know it HURTS - BAD. Real bad.
