Guyton has no wiggle in him

No he is the one trick pony with straight line speed. Definitely useful at times, but limited on what you will get. The problem with the Chargers is that aside from Ekeler, there is literally nobody on the O that has any wiggle aside from maybe Carter.

I keep thinking with his speed, Guyton should be turning short passes into big gains but he doesn't do that. He's missing something. He's good on the go routes but he can't seem to do much else. Maybe he needs more playing time to work out those short routes?

Exactly what im saying. And some guys just arent that good in the open field or every fast guy would be a return man.

It just comes more naturally to some and not others. Tyreek is blazing fast and is good at the YAC.

Concerned about the Linsley situation given that the last thing Herbert needs on Sunday is a sieve like Clapp in front of him.

Tendonitis needs rest and repetitions will slow the healing. I'm not concerned unless he can't play.
It may linger all season or one day he can wake up and it will be gone.

Keenan Allen may have more wiggle than either of them.

I'm telling you they need to coach Herbert up on using his legs. Mahomes, Allen all use their legs to extend plays. He also drops dimes when gets outside. To me this is where our offense is getting hamstrung. I'd like to see an Allen, Herbert, Mahomes 40 time right now.


If that was my one wish for this offense is to have Herbert to breakout of the pocket 20 or 30% more plays. Backyard style football is what these QB's are playing now days. Let JH play!

Spiller has id elusive..... we will see that once he is healthy.... our TE's have some elusiveness too.....

Watched the jags/colts highlights
Jags D is fast, but their big plays come from trash plays from Matt Ryan, I'm not worried.
Lawrence looks quick, quick trigger, decisive, accrurate enough but like many young qbs, gives shit away with his eyes. Also, saw Colts D able to anticipate the snapcount, so again, maybe Lawrence is just young and our veteran Edge guys will be able to have an advantage there.

Colts were in the redzone twice in the 4th but needed TDs so they bypassed FG attempts, so the "shut out" is a bit deceiving.

Lawrence is going to be a really good QB for a long time. But with as many hands they got on Carr’s and Mahomes passes. Those are veteran QBs and the Chargers D confused them quite a bit. I think they will do the same and maybe even more with Lawrence being less experienced.
