This is getting way off topic, but years ago a friend in Montana purchased a new house in a brand new subdivision. He never landscaped his yard, just left it in it's natural state, with lodgepole pines, shrubs and native grasses. Never did anything to maintain it. His neighbors were furious and sued. But Montana law protected him and the city (Helena) had no laws (at the time anyway) requiring landscaping. He prevailed, and on his street there was house after house with neatly manicured lawns then there was his house that looked like the wilds of Montana.

Does coaching need take artificial turf into account?
is there a way players can use different techniques to do their jobs that minimize having to make sudden cuts?

Artificial turf can be an advantage against teams that aren't used to it, I think.

And what's ironic is that due to water restrictions in many states, a lot of homeowners are yanking out their natural grass and going with a Xeriscape--rocks, decomposed granite and cacti...

Hmm...imagine calling plays that's safe for your players but dangerous for your opponents?

The location of SoFi is not ideal, between two heavily used flightpaths, so it had to be covered to reduce the noise from the jets, and had to be dug out so that the roof wouldn't be an issue to the planes, meaning that they couldn't do the roll-in turf like they do in Vegas and Glendale, AZ. Kroenke got a great deal on that old Hollywood Park land, and a willing local government to make it happen. He probably doesn't give a rip about injuries... just the cost of doing business.
Players would disagree. Joey for one.

That's how Goodell feels as well. Otherwise we wouldn't have TNF or talking about teams in London which is a money grab as well. I can't see ANY free agents wanting to sign there and rookies will bolt after their contract.

WTF wants to fly 8 to 12 hours every 2 or 3 weeks across an 8 hour time zone. 5 if you are on the east coast. Imo it's just a bad idea and I don't care how much London would love it. Get their own league is my feeling on it.

Sofi turf is garbage. If the World Cup requires natural grass tje NFL should do the same. Some free agents are not going to sign here because of the turf, mark my words. $5 billion for this glorified green house and you cant figure out how to put in real grass while surrounded with indoor pot growers. Pathetic.

After all those injuries in the Bolts-Seahags game at CenturyLink Field, I would say it's a tie between the two for worst turf. Look:

The Seattle Seahawks play on one of the most hazardous fields in the NFL, leading to more injuries than for teams that play on grass surfaces, according to a new study. Research conducted by gradua…

If it is indeed the performance of the turf, maybe they can fix it. Unfortunately Kroenke wants to have more than just football games in this stadium, and for grass, you need enough light and water to have a viable lawn... and that doesn't do well with a heavy schedule. The only solution is to move, maybe trade cities with the Raiders.

Maintaining grass is definitely doable as per link above.

Sofi was 4-5 times more expensive comparing to the stadium from the link.

Both were built approx same time so...
