lol, no way. good, bad or indifferent its 100% dmac original. let me try ChatGPT with some input information

ChatGPT - write me a poem about Pokey Wilson. He is a wide receiver for the Chargers. He made a great catch of a long pass from Justin Herbert. Some think he is slow for a receiver

    Answer
In the realm where dreams and legends entwine, There's a tale of a receiver, so divine. His name is Pokey Wilson, a Charger bold, Whose grace on the field cannot be controlled.

Amidst the whispers of doubts that abound, They say he's slow, but oh, how they're confound! For in a single moment, he defies the nays, With a catch so magnificent, it sets hearts ablaze.

In a land where speed reigns, Pokey takes flight, Unveiling his prowess with all his might. With Justin Herbert's arm, a majestic arc, He leaps and soars like a shooting star.

The ball sails through the air, time stands still, And Pokey, with grace, fulfills his will. He extends his arms, fingertips outstretched, Grasping the pigskin, undefeated, unmatched.

In that moment of truth, he conquers the skies, With determination gleaming in his eyes. He silences the doubters, their words unwind, As he dances into the end zone, redefined.

For it's not just the swiftness that marks a star, But the heart and spirit that rise afar. Pokey Wilson, a symbol of strength and might, Showing the world what true perseverance ignites.

So let them call him slow, let them deride, For within him burns an eternal stride. He's more than just numbers, more than a name, He's a symbol of triumph, in life's grand game.

In the annals of football, his legend grows, As Pokey Wilson's story forever flows. A receiver unmatched, his spirit unfurled, A testament to courage in an uncertain world.
"He" is good, really good ... but he doesn't know when to stop

JK, I know what you meant.
yah, that leapt off the page for me too, i knew what he meant too. NFL professional grade moves are more important, I agree with Roo - aka the routes, cuts, misdirection, all that skill stuff creates more separation than the difference between 4.3 vs 4.6 unless you are looking 40 yards downfield. Even then, the 4.6 guy can execute the skills to trick the DB and get separation too. He'll just then be caught from behind.

Its harder at 4.6 vs 4.3. But there are alot more guys who run 4.6 vs 4.3 so the best of the 4.6 can still be great. there will just be a bunch of other 4.6 guys that couldn't make the cut.

Best thread about a bubble/PS WR ever. And there’s been tons.

Matrix and Terminator movies. Pretty much sums up our worst fears about AI. We either become batteries or roadkill!

you're either describing a common FS centerfielder or your describing an enforcer method of playing safety that the league outlawed (e.g.Rodney). That is not a modern enforcer. We don't need to underutilize Derwin's unique physicality and skills to laying back as a deep pass defender, any fast FS with cover skills (in partnership with CBs) can do that.

Modern Enforcer is SS and Derwin is the NFL prototype, best in the league. The Modern SS Enforcer punishes offenses all over the field, they don't just lay back in deep patrol. They enforce in the box, behind the LOS, in the middle and cover in both mid and deep secondary. Limiting him to deep centerfield is a waste of his unique abilities.

I completely disagree with the advice to not use Derwin's full set of skills. Lay Derwin deep and the defense will just get gashed all day long on 10-15 yard plays. Fangio's design is based on the Cover 2 (e.g. 2 deep Safeties) zone being described and the Chiefs and Eagles of the NFL have already solved how to beat it in the seams and mid-range gaps it creates. Staley should bring new innovative Cover 1 ideas coupled with more man-press and coverage disguises and twists to update that now-aging scheme and unleash our most potent SS beast anywhere and everywhere in unpredictable ways

Never mind one particular TPB alum insists Derwin can't even cover receivers (he can).
The Bolts apparently like Derwin's skillset at FS in a lot of situations--hence the reason why about 1/3+ of his snaps last season were at FS...ideally, we get two solid deep safeties to free up Derwin at SS...maybe one of the young bucks and one FA signing...
