Keep in mind the framework to play "positionless defense" must weave recognition simplicity into the versatility for certain players to freelance. The concern being players think post snap slow to react and play fast, violent, & fluid. Following Big Ben, this was an issue with the Dickie & Cowher Ds.

DJ is a special player. He's gifted. He's capable of interfering with the opponent's offense in various ways. They never know where he will be. That's the beauty of using him as they are. IMO, he's being used in the best way right now. I wouldn't try to nail him down to one position as many are suggesting.THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!
