Last night in softball we played a new team in our league. Their main guy was wearing a Padres shirt. I got to talking to him. He's San Diego born and raised and a huge Padres fan. He used to be as avidly a fan of the Chargers but quit them after the move, he said. It's just the Padres for him now. He's young, he grew up in SD during the LT era. I told him I lived in San Diego when the Pads went to their first World Series. He said 1998? I had to remind him the Pads were in the '84 series too. It was probably 15 years before he was born.

After a cordial and brief exchange, she blurted out "Have a blessed day!", jumped in her car and drove away.

It was the nicest 'fuck off' I've ever been the recipient of.

I’m well versed on the expression and its meaning. I gotta admit I don’t worry much about being called dim by a guy who lobbies for our 6th round rookie defensive tackle to be our secret offensive weapon. If you’re with him, you guys must think playing NFL TE is really easy and NFL defenses are really stupid.

Sit down Everett, hit the bench Parham, McKitty grab a towel - we gotta get Matlock in there! Or maybe you guys wanted to sit QJ and Dub - nothing says genius like sitting your star skill players in the red zone to try trick plays with a backup late round rookie DT.

Yes, how utterly aggravating that posters suggest, predict, or anticipate things that don't end up transpiring, or that you don't agree with, personally. The nerve of anyone to have any independent thought! It's an outage, I tell you! I guess making it personal and criticizing anyone who disagrees with you is the most evolved response you've got.
