What if Tuli has 4 sacks and Bosa has 15 and Mack has 9?

We need production and Tuli needs to be a productive player or its a wasted pick. We could of signed a random vet FA if we wanted 4 sacks. A good team? How do you define a good team?
Leslie Oneal 12 sacks his rookie season. Chris Mims 10 sacks his rookie season. Shawn Merriman 10 sacks rookie season, Burt Grossman 10 sacks rookie season....9 sacks from Tuli is a reasonable number.Last edited by electricgold; 05-04-2023, 08:01 PM.

I don't care what others did as Rookies, Tuli isn't going to start. O'Neal and those others came in on a shitty team and started right away. Except Merriman who didn't start til week 5.
Lamb didn't have a Keenan Allen or Mike a Williams on his team. He will no doubt get snaps but he isn't going to be WR1 or 2....or even 3 to start the season.
They aren't wasted picks, there aren't many positions on this team that have starter openings.
Murray can be beat our because he isn't a quality stater.
And yes GOOD TEAM, that had a lot of injuries to starters and the team lacked depth.amd still made the playoffs.
If Tuli gets 9 sacks then great but I'm not expecting it. None of those guys above had pro bowlers in front of them on the depth chart and they were all 1st round picks.
The depth got better. The OC is much better and more importantly, our QB doesn't have broken rib cartilage any longer.
Sorry, your post just sounded like something Chain would say. Again stats are great but they don't tell the whole story.Last edited by Boltjolt; 05-05-2023, 05:47 AM.

Comparing Tuli to old NFL era Chargers is silly. All those players you listed didn't have Bosa and Mack in front of them on the depth chart. Completely irrelevant argument. And Merriman was so jacked up on steroids that is an invalid reference.
You have some strange takes for sure.

Tuli will not start over Bosa or Mack. Just won't unless there is a injury ,....which there is a decent chance of that happening going by Bosa's history.
Don't expect so much and you won't be disappointed and call them wasted picks lol. There are probowlers ahead of thos guys.
I expect breakouts in 2024 with good contributions this season from where they stand.
