I would like to send her a care package as well.

If the Chargers sent me over, I could close the deal quick like.

I heard a radio report on this last evening from 1 of the guys that does Chargers pre-game and he said it appears Bosa's father is influencing this because he only lasted 3 years in the NFL. IIRC, they said his uncle played and only lasted 3 years as well. They don't see it as him being greedy and potentially double-dipping if Bosa was let go after 3 years- but instead making sure he gets paid all of his original contract if HE only lasts 3 years as well.

Also, speculation that because Tom Condon is the agent he's trying to break the standard of offset language as a precedent, so he becomes known as the guy who can get the most $ for players no matter if they are released before a contract ends- and this attracts more players to his practice.

Ah, Tom Condon. Now it's really making sense.

This is why I have feeling this is going to last til preseason.

I hope it doesn't last until season starts.

Not a good way to start your NFL career.

It's tough enough for a rookie to come in and learn everything even if they are signed on time and attend everything. Missing time really retards a player's early contribution. I HATE the business side of the game and if the rumor about Condon trying to set a precedent are true, it just gives me another reason to hate agents even more.

When I found out that he was the agent, it made sense. I really doubt that Bosa will be cut in his first contract, unless he's a total bust like Leaf. Anyone know if there was an offset in the other contracts in the top 5 picks? I understand the Chargers don't want to set a precedent with Bosa's contract and want to treat all players the same, but obviously that isn't the same across the league.

                          Seau Contract hold out HOF

Merriman contract hold out ALL PRO

Rivers contract hold out leads to Brees starting and going 12-4 and allows Rivers to develop in to franchise QB

The contract hold out guarantees a great season lol

Seriously though, this is stupidity by Bosa and his agent.
