Does Spenser Drango make this team? I hope no. I hope TT is able to find a better player after final cuts are made or even trade a conditional 7th for a decent swing tackle before final cuts. Make it conditional based upon number of snaps taken. And if he doesn't get enough, We got him for free.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    The Wasted Decade is done.

Our Oline ideas should be fluid. My current prediction is this.
      Scott-Feeney-Pouncey-Schofield-Tevi

      God help us.

It is disappointing that Lamp has not stood out enough to push and start. But it is about fielding a unit that plays together more than about being right.

The Chargers value experience and snaps together. Our IOL will be status quo. That can be a plus.

We dress seven. Qberry/Lamp will rotate dressing. Qberry is a C/OG. Lamp OLG/ORG. If Lamp dresses, Feeney is backup C. The Swing OT is Drango. He has NFL experience starting 15+ games @ OT. Drango also has position flexibility, as he can kick inside.

Nine total OL. Pipkins makes nine.

It is what it is. I now anticipate no trades or signings @ OL. Subject to change over the next two weeks LOL.

This is a prediction about what will happen. Not what makes people happy.

Patience. OL development is a slow process. We are getting better inside. Work to do at OT re development.
We do not play modern football.

Not happy with Scho at RG. But we will see what happens by the first game.

          I want Lamp at ORG.
          Agreed.
Maybe he can rub off on Tevi.
          We need it.
Of course Schofield has lots of mediocre snaps.

The frustration is real. It never ends.

Think Clary. Oh, you forgot about Clary.

            David Bahktiari. Green Bay Packers.
He may be the best OLT in football right now.
            ROUND 4 PICK 109.
Why the hell can't that be us ?

Hey, maybe we can get Bryan Bulaga in FA next year.
Yeah I am still looking, dammit.

I can see us only carrying 8 OLINEMEN if we have a semi-firm timetable for Russell and/or no vet cut would improve the OT group.
We have quite a bit of position flexibility with our top 7.

It will shake out like this........

              Scott-Feeney-Pouncey-Lamp-Tevi

              Schofield = G/T
              Qberry = G/C

Wood, weren't you kind of high on Baktiari pre-draft? I believe he was high up in one of your clustas...

What I can't understand is why they are only working Lamp at a position that they are probably going to hand to Feeney...are they leaving him off the right side to protect his knee? Does he now move better on the left side because of the injury?

I thought Lynn said he was gonna get reps at OT...maybe they saw pretty quick he is an inside only guy now...but who can tell.

Can't help but keep my fingers crossed on a late cut...but can't imagine who it would be.
The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Have I missed Lamp getting reps on the rightside.....this year? Are they just working him left side to get Feeney reps at center? Again...perplexed we haven't seen Lamp at multiple positions, since Feeney seems the consensus LG.

Best chance we have to develop Lamp and reap the rewards is if he gets on the field come regular season....he is no worse than Feeney was when we pressed him into service, maybe better. Gotta get him out there, I say.....

I suspect that they want to avoid two least experienced linemen next to each other.

Lamp was playing RG, with Feeney at LG, when Quessenberry came in at center during the first two preseason games. I'm assuming the same thing happened in practice. And Whiz, at least from interviews, seem to want him to primarily practice at the guard positions as opposed to having him learn more positional responsibilities.

Yes. Local dude. Maybe a little sentimentality.

Nobody liked his size. He has long arms and great technique. Now watch Isaiah Wynn with NE.

I watched a little NE last night by the way.
What strikes me is how real, real solid, cohesive, and consistent their IOL is, w/Scarnecchia doing the teaching.
                          Joe Thuney-David Andrews-Shaq Mason.
                          Midrounders, UDFAs.

We can do this !! With a little development and Pat Meyer tutelage, and Pouncey leadership short term, we can be strong at Oline. Feeney-Qberry-Lamp.
