      Granted
but it’s not about longevity, it’s about value.
If Minnesota thinks a motivated Philip Rivers is their key to a superbowl this and the next 3 years (assuming cap fits) then they would be foolish NOT to consider trading 3 future licks that won’t help this year. Not to mention busy factor.
      G-Ro knows.

        Are we buyers or sellers?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Sometimes this board is funny. On one hand you have people saying Rivers is washed up and it’s time to bench him, move on to someone younger and mobile. On the other hand people suggesting we should get 2 or 3 high picks from the Vikings for him because he is the missing link that can get them over the hump and win a Super Bowl.

They aren't going to give 3 -1st for Rivers. Nobody will at age 37,...especially when be will be a FA after the season.
They would also have to trade Cousins because if they don't his cap hits are 29 and 31 million and who will trade for him with those numbers?

Sure Minnesota will save big by trading him but the next team won't.

Cousins has played well the last 2 games so maybe he will turn it around.

I recall when Rivers was having a tough time ,again with OL issues and posters were saying he is done . Wanted Mariota in a trade to move up and draft him,...lol Wonder how those who foolishly said that would feel today if we had Mariota. We certainly wouldn't have been 12-4 last year

Nothing wrong with Rivers cept again his OL sux. His velocity is fine. No run game, always under pressure.

I thought I was one of the most ignorant, no-sense, "wtf is he talking about?" type posters here but I'm seeing a lot more than me lately here.....

I don't know the financial ramifications of it, but I wouldn't be upset about a Williams trade. Either Washington or Jets.

I'm thinking it's time to send Ingram off in a trade while he still has some value. His cap hit is pretty high and there may be some takers out there that might be interested.

                      Ingram, Gordon, Okung, Hayward, Perryman

None of those guys will be on this football team when they're competing again, and all of them have trade value, so might as well trade them now.

Baltimore would be thrilled to have a Melvin Ingram.

Cleveland would be thrilled to have a Russell Okung

Philly would be thrilled to have Hayward, Perryman, & Gordon.

None of these players will be traded even if we get crushed by the Bears.
