None of those guys will be on this football team when they're competing again, and all of them have trade value, so might as well trade them now.

Baltimore would be thrilled to have a Melvin Ingram.

Probably only because Telesco likes to sit on his ass and not do jack shit after the off season.

Chargers should be too. It’s fucking stupid that we aren’t trying to cash in on whatever we can get for Gordon and Ingram and use that as ammunition to move up in the next draft.

Same with Davis and Perryman who may have a market among some contenders for their “leadership”.

Ingram don't make us competitive and he will be in the last year if his deal with a big cap hit. Nwosu has played better as a pass rusher.

We should also at least try to trade to T.Davis, Mebane, and Perryman for anything to clear them off the books without having to eat 2 mil each in dead cap space next year if we decide to move on. Maybe retain part of this lost year’s salary, do whatever it takes if they have no trade value. Retained salary this year could be like buying a late round draft pick (this would be an un-Spanos-like move but teams in other sports do stuff like this).

Might as well keep and play Gordon hard the rest of the year and hope he pads his stats so he can get a better comp pick for us a year later since his trade value is nothing. He can still catch the ball if the line sucks too much to have him run into a pile and get anything. Limiting Ekeler’s opportunities also might make his extension a little cheaper and save some tread.

agree..... Chargers are too conservative and cheap to make any moves..... have not made any in many many years, despite our history of injuries...... team is content just to keep losing with what we got....
