Killer defense, a solid OL and we're a playoff contender if we can stay reasonably healthy.
We’re at least a top dude short at each. Which do you chose? Also we are very much below par at WR as a group, and the SB was arguably just won by a top WR group. In a passing league, WR is just as important as OL or QB.

We gotta ways to go at many positions.
I beg to differ. I’ve been preaching good defense and good run game and solid quarterback play is the current blueprint. If you look at the top 5 passers from last year, none made the playoffs. And if you look at the teams that made the playoffs, majority of them had that. SF actually had KC beat in the Super Bowl with that exact blueprint, but Mahomes is a generational talent.
Just found you guys again. Big love.
So, am I reading this right, general consensus in here is that we prefer to roll with Tyrod and NOT draft a QB early? And by rolI, I mean long term, because we may not see an opportunity to draft a generational talent like Tua for quite some time.
I also get the trepidation on Justin, but he also has enough arm talent and upside to run this team on an elite level for the next decade.
At some point, we got to draft a freakin Quarterback and this might be our best shot.
For the record, I love Tyrod, always have.

Welcome to TPB!
I don’t think anyone thinks Tyrod is the long term answer.
Tua is a monster risk. Is that the gamble you make? @#6 his extensive injury history in less than 25 games is too much. Talent yes, worth risk @#6 no.

don’t disagree, just don’t see a better opportunity than now to draft and develop a starting QB in house. Can’t fully see the logic in not taking that chance.
Honestly, for this year, would love to get Simmons, Okudah or trade back and get freaky. Some many options.
However, It’s the long term prospect at QB and the ability to control the contract that intrigue/worry me the most. Nothing more valuable than a rookie contract at that position (if you hit).

True. Even more valuable if they aren’t an early day 1 pick. A $600K salary for your starting QB for 3-4 years is like playing with the casino’s money.
is that baseless banter, or more what you wish for as a narrative, or.... do Carolina fans and players have a different story to share of ??
Not baseless...locker room chemistry looks pretty good to me...many have said they are behind Tyrod 100 percent. You add Cam...whole nother compound. Who is the leader now?
Goofy stick fashion show at every weeks post game, stealing attention away from the team as football players.
Walking of field as a poor sport. Dramatic on field celebrations for routine first downs.
Tyrod came in here, bided his time, done the work. He deserves a shake, and this team deserves for this season to be about them as a team. You bring in Cam that all changes. It becomes about him, and not the Chargers, in the eyes of the nation.
My oldest son is a Panthers fan, and we get more of their games televised here than Charger games, so I been watching. Not wishful thinking or fabricated narrative on my part...just observation tempered with rational opinion.:hello:

Agree on Cam. But, chargers are $250m behind projections on seat licenses. We haven’t been selling out a 27k soccer stadium in fact mostly filling with away fans. Now we are moving into a freaking cathedral. New uniforms are awesome but they aren’t putting asses in seats. Bolts need a PR splash. Do they go for Tua, bring in Cam, try to trade up for Burrow. We all know winning is the best tonic but we are going to have to win in a 2/3 empty stadium to get noticed. Think media will notice the win or the empty seats. Something big needs to happen or this team will be in San Antonio or Mexico City or even London in 5 years.

No doubt, although I'm not crazy about the concept, I acknowledge a very real possibility that Tua is plan B to Brady being plan A...and I hate to say it, but I don't blame them one bit. It's a smart gamble. The best pure football move? Maybe not...risky...but from a purely financial perspective? Tua is gonna sell tickets and jerseys long before he takes the field and even has an opportunity to break. I think the only thing that might be keeping us from drafting Tua is Miami...who happen to have a gun to our knife in this fight.
Welp, we will see but I think Tua is off Telescos board. I read maybe here, or elsewhere but it said he has taken players off his board who were big injury concerns.
Got to think Tua fits that to a T.
I don't think we are drafting him if he is there. Simmons or trade down is more likely......or Herbert.
