        Justin Herbert:

        939 yds passing - third
        6 TD passes - fifth
        74.4% completion - first
        112.9 rating - second
        0 INTs

        But hey, let's fix him.

I like watching JT...entertaining take on JH. Most of our breakdowns are due to missed blocks like on the last play. Gotta make that block to win the game.

Here he is with the PFF dudes carrying on some more about Herbert. At one point they say there's never been a QB like him.

They still question why he made that throw to Keenan to the deep right when a guy (QJ) was sprinting wide open down the middle for a walk-in TD. They wonder if Herbert didn't see him. I still say there is a lack of trust there on Herbert's part. He knows Keenan will catch everything he throws him, so he will throw to Keenan if he's the slightest bit open.

They also mention the number of horizontal passes Moore had him throwing against the Vikes. I wondered that too. But it was because of the constant blitzing. And it also set up the Keenan TD to MW.

QJ dropping the easy passes in camp was sort of a well known issue right? He comes out and does some random interview with a young woman who sort of came off like just a friend? lol And then he goes on to tell us that he was told he is starting. Which means he is the #3 guy. But if recall correctly camp wasnt even in full swing yet...Pads might not have even been on at that point. It just felt weird to me. And then of course that never happened and we are aware of his drops and lining up wrong and just not quite getting it yet. But this team has always been about starting the guys who make the least amount of mistakes. As funny as that is to say...with all the mistakes etc. Especially on the other side of the ball.

I thought that announcement was premature. And he has a long ways to go. So while i defintely thought there were more NFL ready guys there...Addison/Flowers/Dell he has a ways to go to catch up with his massive upside. My guess is drafting him was more about taking over for Mike next year. I am somewhat expecting him to do what Mike does. So yeah we can say that Palmer is the #2 guy...but i bet we see QJ running a lot of Mikes stuff. He has a great op to shine now. I expect Moore to make it easy on him to start.

                      It was way premature.
I've always seen QJ as a specialized weapon.
Amongst our existing high production weapons.
Maybe just what the doctor ordered.
                      The cockiness was disappointing.
His parents taught him discipline and respect.

I know you guys liked other WRs ahead of QJ @ '23 Draft.
                      Those arguments are legit.
                      No doubt.

BTW I am itching for DD.
You might remember he has some serious core strength.

I think QJ will develop when he gets in rhythm and gains confidence. He seems like that type of guy.

but I am also curious about DD. I’ve seen you make the Atwell comparison and they look similar. McVay’s making wine from water with Puka and Tutu while Kupp is out. Necessity is the mother of invention and we now have a need. Can’t rely on MW. KA is about to see doubles. The field is wide open fellas. Find your space
