Herbert is the 2nd string QB and is on deck for the inevitable benching/injury of Taylor.

Depending on what happens with the Chiefs, Panthers, Bucs and Saints. If we go 1-5 or 2-4. I'll wager we see Herbert start @ home against the Jets.
Yeah, but that’s 16 points and no interceptions.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Is he? If Taylor gets hurt next week, who replaces him? Seriously, I don’t know who our 2nd string qb is.

I originally thought we would be looking at 3-3 at Miami. Doubtful based on last week's offensive play. Herbert will start if we we are 1-4 and should start if we are 2-3. The Jets look like the right team to start with.

Lynn riding the Tyrod train past Miami with a losing record means the Chargers will be getting a new head coach.

I don't see Lynn switching until after the bye. Unless we are completely terrible.

And I think if we're still in the race after the bye, Tyrod stays starting.

                    That's coach Lynn.

Even if Tyrod's play is awful, he's gone start as long as he wins.
If he is 3-2 at Week 6, he will start against the Jets.
                      At 2-3, not sure.
At 1-4, it would be Herbert's time.

Fix that for you That's former Coach Lynn if he rides Tyrod to the bye.

Unfortunately I think we seen Tyrod playing to the best of his ability against Cincy which is no turn overs and no game changing play(s) throwing down the field, I give Williams more credit for the 36 yard pass reception than Tyrod, he dam near got Williams killed.

And that’s the way it should be. Herbert shouldn’t be playing this year. I think people have to have the right expectations for this season. We’re not contending for a championship.
