2021 Draft Discussion - Bolts Pick 13th

It won’t be the first. I remember the game after KC clinched the AFC West title, they had Chase Daniels playing qb and we lost.

Actually -- in McCoys first year - they played the Chiefs in SD when KC had the division wrapped up so they rested players. That was the game Succup missed the FG to send the game to overtime where in OT WEddle called his own fake punt, barely made it - refs deemed forward progress was stopped as he fumbled on the play. Chargers got lucky. Chargers also should have been penalized on the Succup miss

Than they did go to KC, what, McCoys 3rd year and laid an egg against the back-ups.

Now this could be the third time in 8 years they play the back ups. Some legacy Big Andy has built - he rests his players, Chargers play them.

So by all accounts - Telesco really has had one solid playoff berth team. He should be fired too

If thats the board I am taking Slater followed by Darrishaw followed by Pitts

I watched 3 condensed games on him...vs Boston, Virginia, and Wake Forrest...and I just don't see it. I think his ascension on some boards is predraft fluff. He doesn't always play to the whistle, takes plays off, quits blocking as soon as he can. Sometimes he plays with attitude...but mostly seems to just be doing his job. He doesn't move as well as many of the other prospects either. I think he is maybe RT material, and definitely not in our first round cluster IMO. Slater's film makes Darrisaw look slow and lazy...again, JMO.

If I recall, and I could be mistaken, we had an outside shot if we won, but also if somebody else lost...and I think we were eliminated right before or during game...but it was still embarrassing.

I also like Wyatt Davis. Where they are picking now might be high but the team needs help along the OL at three positions: LT, LG, C.

Plug Davis right in at C, and sign Feeney to a team-friendly 1+1 year deal, and he's depth. Sign an OT in round 2...

Why Davis at C? He is a RG...I don't even know if he has snapped the ball in college, but maybe you know something I don't....otherwise, I'm not changing a rookie from OG to C his first year starting.
