good example!! as somebody else said - probably look to trade the pick

let me be clear - my message for this offseason is consistent: OT, IOL, DT, Edge and CB plus fixing ST
    those above all else

After completing my season review, here is my current I’m the GM roster build.
Get out of the way TT/Johnboy.

      LEGEND
      (R) = rookie
      (TC) = team captain
      (M) = million
      (G) = guaranteed
      (SB) = signing bonus
      (CH) = 2021 cap hit

      Key Cuts / Trades
Casey Hayward ($8.75) - traded to Jags for pick 152 (round 5)
      Trai Turner ($11.5)
      Chris Harris Jr. ($11.25)

      Key Unrestricted FA Lost
      SupaMel ($16.65)
      Mike Pouncey ($7.25)
      Tyrod Taylor ($7.5)
      VIrgil Green ($3.5)
      Denzel Perryman ($7.5)
      DSquare ($1.187)

Key Players Resigned / Contracts Restructured
      Michael Davis - 5yr - ($60M)/$30G/$20SB/$7CH
      Mike Williams - 4yr - ($44M)/$24G/$16SB/$7CH
      Hunter Henry - 4yr -($40M)/$22G/$14SB/$6CH
      Rayshawn Jenkins - 4yr - ($30M)/$16G/$12SB/$5CH
      Sam Tevi - 2yr - ($9M)/$5G/$4SB/$3CH
      Dan Feeney - 2yr - ($8M)/$4G/3SB/$3CH
      Nick Vigil - 2yr - ($7M)/$3G/$2SB/$3CH
      Iaasc Rochell - 1yr - ($2M)/$1.5G/$1SB/$1.5CH
      Linval Joseph - 2yr - ($14M)/$11G/$8SB/$6CH

I resigned Tevi and Feeney because they graded out higher than Lamp in 2020. Both have significant starting experience. Ideally we drive them to backup depth.

      * All RFA & ERFA will be resigned.

      FA TARGETS
      Dalvin Tomlinson (DT) - 5yr - ($60M)/$30G/$20SB/$8CH
      Ted Karras (OC) - 4yr - ($36M)/$21G/$14SB/$6CH
      Darqueze Dennard (CB) - 2yr - ($10M)/$6G/$4SB/$3CH
      Fabian Moreau (CB) - 2yr - ($7M)/$3G/$3SB/$2,5CH

      TOTAL 2021 Cap Space Used
      $181,000,000.00 Projected
      $162,865,000.00 USED
      $18,135,000.00 Unused

I don’t expect a ton of FA spending with the reduction in projected cap space. A concentration in retaining our own and a few strategic targeted signings. After veterans get cut for cap space, it will be a buyers market for a final piece or two.

Derwin and Deablo will take LB snaps in certain sub-packages.

Yes I did. That makes me happy.

No one really stands out to me at pick #13. I think i prefer Walker Little in the 2nd to any Oline available at #13

Briefly checked out Alim McNeill....Ninja just finds these guys.

I'll probably go through Jackson, Smith and Stevenson later.

As I agree, you cannot reach in the first round when the best players are there. In the 5th its fine to go for need unless somebody really drops but in the first, really just trust your board and if the talent gap is there - take the talent.
B4K, was it you that talked us into grabbing TE Pitts? I said no but now considering everything I think........err I would not be surprised if we got Pitts. I actually would not be mad. Let me preface that logically I think we need to build our trenches to get tougher. That out of the way:

-From BPA perspective, may be a top 10 talent of the draft.
-From Chargers history, we're a premier destination for great TEs destined from greatness.
-SB winning teams pile on their strengths. Just because we have weapons should not stop us from getting even deadlier ones. Arms race!!!
-Okay I was lazy at first but damn...matchup nightmare is an understatement. *I thought I was watching a WR dominating CBs. It was a freaking TE dominating LBs and CBs lol*
-Minimum dual threat of Pitts/Parham or Pitts/Henry is probably the best TE duo in the NFL.
-We can let Henry walk, use that money towards getting o-line talent
-Would be the new age Rivers/Gates combo.
-Have little confidence in TT drafting OT this high. Its like he's cursed with drafting o-line. He's blessed on hitting on Pro-bowl caliber playmakers though.
            -Dominated in SEC.
-Not raw, has some seasoned skills that allows him to be NFL ready. Will get better at NFL level.

Nice job, Ninja! You obviously put a lot of work into your research. You and I see eye-to-eye on our needs. I prefer to get a pass rusher a little earlier than you... and I see the need to get a good cover LB... but lots of good hits on your list. I like the idea of moving Alaric Jackson to OG.

I think everybody is up on our needs while some have a different spin on them than others.
I dont think id have the patience to use the Spotrac Cap calculator but ive never tried to either. Great detailed job. Hec just typing that out using bold and such is a pain lol.

I believe a minimum of 2 QBs will be picked in the top 12.

Who are your top 11 non QB players in order?

BPA of that group of 11 should be the pick#13.

If you are refering to me.....

                    1. Sewell
                    2. Parsons
                    3. Chase
                    4. Smith
                    5. Surtain
                    6. Farley
                    7. Waddle
                    8. Davis
                    9. Slater
                    10. Pitts
                    11. Bateman

Or trade down depending how it goes. Paye and Rousseau may go before some of these guys but i dont prefer Paye in the first @ 13 for us and dont like Rousseau in the first. I wouldnt pick Smith or Waddle over Bateman for us as they are too slight of build which i tend to avoid, ....and we dont draft slight of build WRs. Tyron Johnson is our lightest WR at 193 lbs.

So who i have dont really matter for who we will or should draft. I think 3 or 4 QBs will go ahead of us and i hope so. Not a fan of Lance or Wilson that high but i dont care as we dont need a QB now lol.

No one really stands out to me at pick #13. I think i prefer Walker Little in the 2nd to any Oline available at #13

Briefly checked out Alim McNeill....Ninja just finds these guys.

I'll probably go through Jackson, Smith and Stevenson later.
Big Hokie fan here. Divine Deablo, hell yes!! not just a cool name but because he’s a gamer with Kam Chancellor (another Hokie) measurables. If I had to choose between Darrisaw and Farley I would take Darrisaw. I think both will do well in NFL. Darrisaw could be our LT for 10 years of course if TT drafts him he will probably start to suck....haha

Darrisaw looks like a real LOT
vs tall guards that play LOT
I’ll be fine with him at 13

Kiper now projects QB#4 Mac Jones (after Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Zach Wilson) to go mid round 1, say @ #15 to NE.

Hmmm. This has the potential to create an opportunity for us, meaning someone may want to jump NE and trade up with us for Jones. Maybe we can even squeeze a round 2 from NE to move up two spots.
