With the Falcon’s D, I’d guess they’d take an edge rusher. They could probably get EDGE1 or 2.
It should also be noted that the Chargers will have a lot of flexibility in FA next year, so maybe parting with a 2022 1st won’t sting so bad. Unless, that is, we coulda got Stingley.
Now that would sting.
That would sting but if he has a good season, we won't have a shot picking 32nd.
Sure...why not? I hear Pipkens has "...feet like you won't believe...". We can pick up Hudson in the third, and they can start a dance troupe in the offseason....
Your killing me.
I do like Moerhig, though...awfully good fit with our new coach, that one....
There will be starting OLT options outside of by pick #47, even with a predicted early round two run.
Others will take some of the Guards by #47 too.
Decent, serviceable, experienced OTs will be available in August, after so many are drafted.
Oline experts are bullish on the depth and early starting potential of well over ten of these prospects.
If we are feelin' it, trade up for Sewell, or let the draft come to us.
And you do know that Moehrig is now being seen in the late teens, right ? He is a perfect fit, with Nas helping out at NDB and Slot. I think Staley likes Campbell on the outside too.
If we trade #13, #47, and a 2022 R1 for #4, I can (realistically) see this year’s draft going like...
4–Penei Sewell, T
77–Pauson Adebo, CB
97–Elerson Smith, EDGE
118–Tanaloa Hufanga, S
159–John Bates, TE
185–Robert Jones, G
198–Tommy Doyle, OT
241–Avery Williams, NCB, ST
Not the kind of dude u want to pick in round 1, if it's true...maybe he had an explanation in the interview...maybe something like, "my coach told me to save my energy for pass pro and run blocking, and to take it easy when the play was away from me..."
Eich isn’t a bad back up plan. You may need to trade back in the early second round but maybe not first to get him.
A great combination of lower ceiling plus day one starter...lol.
These diminished traits guys who just get it done have good careers in the NFL.
This guy is sort of a Joe Thomas.
