But almost if he could the opposite this year - maybe Staley helps him identify players - and just have a good solid draft. It may not make the pundits go crazy draft weekend but come this fall - they are contributing players.

And yes, Left Tackle - it seems opinions are mixed on Darrisaw. I am not sure he goes Isiah Wilson but he is more a Fluker type pick.
Darrisaw’s feet are much better than Fluker’s. Other than slow feet, Fluker was everything you wanted in an OT.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Simple analogy is you can’t teach work ethic... you either have it or you don’t

I dont think anyone has figured out how to translate college production into pro potential. Especially at the qb position.

That's like saying, "other than not being able to turn fast enough to avoid icebergs, the Titanic was everything you wanted in a ship..."

One guys opinion that seems to now be he’s the next Isaiah Wilson. I know quite a few people around VT program and I’m telling you there isn’t anything lazy about Chris.

They guy came in as an unheralded 2 Star, he played with a chip on his shoulder as has been head and shoulders the best oline player on a top 10 oline unit. He has gotten better every year and played against some pretty damn good pass rushers the past 3 years.

Take PFF for what it’s worth but they rated him last year 2 while tenths of a point below Sewel and against better competition. He was highest rated pass AND run n blocker overall last year.

Don’t rate him at 13 that’s fine but he is NOT lazy nor does he have a poor work effort. There is zero indication he has any off field issues that are clearly the case with Isaiah Wilson. 2 Star recruits rarely take over LT position in P5 because they are lazy.
These are the sort of things that make me much more bullish on Darrisaw. I loved in the press conference he gave recently when he referred to himself as a two star recruit from PG County. When a guy plays with a chip on his shoulder and is known as a hard worker, the only remaining questions are athletic ability (which he clearly has) and acumen. But quotes like a two star recruit from PG County is the sort of thing a guy says during his HoF induction speech. I’m not saying Darrisaw is a future Hall of Famer, but I LOVE guys who play with a chip on their shoulder.

HOW FAR DOWN COULD WE TRADE AND STILL GET DARRISAW AND A REALLY GOOD CB? WE REALLY NEED STARTERS AT OLT AND CB. THEN SAFETY AND WR/ RB.

Trade down, Trade down, Trade down! When is the last time the Chargers have traded in 1st 3 rounds in the Telesco era?

We did Trade up for Melvin Gordon. We did Trade up for Manti Teo and we did trade up for Murray. You all just have to accept that Telesco doesn't like trading down because he believes the best players are all at where he is positioned at or just further ahead.

                  Cartwheels.

When last seen, my man Landon was benchpressing massive amounts of weight

I’d love to see us trade down to the late teens and be able to grab Darrisaw or AVT. Then use the capital we acquired in said trade to move back into the 20s and grab Farley. Just go all in on VaTech. Both players have real risks, but if we walked away from day 1 with Darrisaw and Farley and still had both of our third round picks, I’d be very happy.

We’d probably have to trade up to 10 to guarantee we get Darrisaw.

You can add Attaouchu so that means he is 0-3 on his "trade-ups" getting a second contract with the Chargers with Murray tbd. I get the history. I think he falls in love with players.

Wish he would fall in "like" with a lot of players but see what happens this year.
