Yes, thats true. I get a team isn't built in an offseason but with the age of certain players (Bulaga, Harris, Joseph) and pending free agents though of course Justin Jones and Nwosu can be brought back - still want I guess a lot of potentially good solid football players over the hope of one LT.

Makes the slimmer Slim Reaper look big at 166.

Zaven looking like he is destined to be an Edge st 270.

Both will happen even when we trade up for Penei.
We will have 7 (6 after Sewell) to acquire more talent.
We can pick up CB, EDGE, IDL, DS, IOL, CB/TE/RB.
After we still have UDFAs and post draft/vet cuts FA to round out the 2021 roster.
Lets give our FRANCHISE QB the very best protection possible. This will increase our APPG more than any other prospect while dramatically increasing our running game, and the ensuring the future health of JH10.

When you have a team that's been fighting just to get to .500, you have to start somewhere. In our case it started last year when we picked our QB of the future. It would be a bone headed mistake to not draft someone to fill the need at OT. Protect the QB and give some open running lanes to our backs this year.
              THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Like if you're going to spend this year's first and second to move up and draft Sewell you are probably better off drafting Slater or more likely Darrisaw and Cosmi or Radunz or Little, etc.

The problem is that TT probably wouldn't do that and just take Darrisaw and call it a day for OTs for the next 8 years.
Fluker, Lamp, Feeney, Watt, Tuerk, Quessenberry, Pipkens, Tevi, Clark

That's a whole draft and a quarter of minnows....the more the merrier hasn't been working.

If your traits aren't good enough to get you started there, they probably aren't enough to make it in the league. There are far far more Trey Pipkins than there are Garrett Bolles. Like a third round tackle or later is not really a double dip, it's just a flyer.

I have no problem taking a flyer, either. It's just not the same and doesn't really increase the odds of finding an OT in the draft.
Good points, but Sp. Brown is no Pipkins. His traits and metrics are elite across the board. He just needs technical work and reps.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

Not to mention TT's bottom of the barrel FA acquisitions...such stellar signings as Max Starks and Willie Smith...

The Chargers have spent the least amount of draft capital on OL since Tom Telesco took over. We haven't tried the more the merrier approach. We have actual tried the absolute least the merrier approach.

Sad to say, but the Charger Oline has been going down hill every since Jon Runyan was in on Darren Sprole's touchdown run.

In comparison to the AJ Smith era? Probably more invested by Telesco: one #1, one #2, 3 # 3s,... vs.AJ smith: two #2, 1 #3.....
