If we play Tillery a lot of snaps and he doesn’t somehow miraculously change his ways, we lose.
We will find out what the Chargers are thinking in terms of Tillery's future this offseason. They have to decide on his 5th-year option, and that drives a lot of other stuff. One way or another, Tillery is at a crossroads.

What would you do @CB and @RT?
I have no idea about the real world., but Mathis is there in Rd3 every mock sim I run. Sims are always so full of shit though. Walker is always there in Rd2, which is the only reason I didn’t pick him, i didnt go full Dtrench mode. But I’d be cool with those 3. I see Jermaine Johnson(?) still there at 17 almost always = another edge option.

If the Bolts can upgrade both their DT starters AND depth with players better than Tillery, cut him. If not, at $3.6 mil, keep him around for cheap depth:

He’s only the 2M cash cap delta, the bonus was already paid at draft (1.6 each year) and it hits the cap whether we cut him or not.

It's all about competition. Let him compete for his job in TC, and if he can't win a job, is not motivated to fix his poor technique, then send him on his way.

It's not like many DL have the combination of speed, strength, quickness and athletic ability that Tillery does. We don't (really) save anything by cutting him, so there is not urgency to it. The upside is there. But you can only give them so long to improve. And it's time.

I’d still like to see them slide Feiler out to RT, resign abushi, quessenberry, and schofield. Promote jaimes to starting LG and call up hunter from PS to serve as depth at both guard spots and center along with quessenberry.

                  slater jaimes linsey abushi feiler
                  pipkins hunter quessenberry schofield

No need to pursue FA tackles for big $ or to draft OT high in the draft. You can draft a developmental type like jaimes in rounds 4-7. Another advantage of sliding feiler over is that it’d be much cheaper to sign a quality free agent guard to fill his spot than to find a new RT. There are some very intriguing names in FA at guard this year.

this approach would allow the chargers to focus most of their resources on defense where they are needed most, tag MWs, slide fieler over, sign FA guard or promote jaimes and then spend your draft capital on CB, IDL, and Edge where it’s needed the most. It’s also good for keeping continuity with guys that have already been in meetings and practicing together for one year on offensive line especially if jaimes is ready to step in.

Could get a decent backup at a lot of spots for 2mil.

Disagree, decent backups may not always make the tackle, but they don’t get pushed out of the way/5 yards back as often as he does. For a first round pick, bust.

$3.6m could be a real difference maker @RB.
