second contracts for TEs are cheaper than for WRs.
If they ball out equally....in 4 years
Bowers may be 4 years 68-70 mil.
MHJ/Nabers may be 4 years 140 mil
Will Hortiz pay that? Idk his habits yet.
That said we had 2 high cost WRs in Allen and MW. We can get away with 1 top pay WR and durable WR depth as long as our run game is good.

In Daniel Jeremiah's latest mock, he has the Bolts trading with the Jets, down to #10. He has the Jets taking MHJ at #5, and the Chargers selecting Taliese Fuaga.
Dang, that actually sounds realistic!

Amarius Mims scares me in a bad way.
Very little experience, you're betting on his physical traits, jist too risky even at 23 imo.
reminds me of that Adonis-lookinh OT a few years back that busted.
So many more polished, high floor prospects around him, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in round 2.HAMMER TIME

I'm not saying that concerns about Mims are incorrect or unfounded, only that there are players in every draft class who get pushed down due to injury history.

Those guys are almost always locked up in 2nd contracts because they are cost effective and have a relationship with the QB.

That's probably what you meant.
It eventually shortened his career: he never was dominant like he was that first year.
I remember him blowing up Hall of Famer Richard Seymore on 4rth down in the playoff game at the Murph.
Could be because Marty was replaced by Norf in 2007.... coaching matters.
