The Chargers not only take their replacement for Philip Rivers, but they get a name that might make people in Los Angeles care about the Chargers. L.A. sends Detroit the No. 6, No. 71 and a 2021 2nd round pick to move up three spots to take Tua before the Dolphins can.

      Probably will be a bust.

There was an article in the Miami Herald yesterday that said the Dolphins are leery of Tua's injury history and are on the Herbert bandwagon.

Not the Chargers. But to LA instead of Cincy.

Coincidence.....we are leery as well. Well, many of us are. Lynn should be too if he wants a mobile QB.

Perhaps but the writer is the main man that covers the Dolphins and he may have an inside source - they often do.

Regardless, it does seem a gamble to take a player with an injury background in college with that high of a pick. He sure is skilled but he's a gamble.
If the Bolts pick him and he has trouble staying on the field we will have a bunch of "hindsight GM's" saying TT never should have taken him.
Face it, Burrows is the only QB in this draft that looks like a can't miss. (But then, Ryan Leaf was said to be a can't miss) so who knows.

                    oh look.
another step closer to my plan
I still want to trade up to 2 to secure Tua
but I have a strong feeling he’ll be sitting there at 6

To secure the future at QB without trading away picks? Let it happen!

What people are failing to understand is there is a possibility that Chase Young could be drafted #1 or #2 and if he's still on the boards at number #3 somebody might move up to get him.

                          tongue in cheek bro
                          it’s just a funny observation
because since Tua’s hip injury I’ve been half-joking that it’s our destiny to pick him at our draft slot, considering the bad season many of us didn’t anticipate in 2019.

a year ago it was a foregone conclusion that Miami would pick Tua and I’ve said that they will fall in love with the healthy mobile 6’6” qb and leave us with Tua.

I agree though, anyone can come swoop up Tua, that’s why I think it’s worth the gamble to trade up to two for Tua.
