I'd be surprised if we DIDN'T go OT with the first pick, if someone like Thomas is available. I certainly wouldn't want to reach( read: Fluker) again.
A guy like Simmons would be HUGE for our defense but at some point we actually need to build an O line, right?

If Thomas turns out to be a solid starting tackle and Simmons an All pro, it would be the wrong choice.
I don't think Wirfs is going to come in and seamlessly transition to right tackle, he has at least one flaw that he needs to correct.

The criticism of Eason is that he is lazy - he hasn't learned the Washington offense sufficiently and makes bad decisions;
that he depends too much on his talent (which is higher than anyone's imho).
On this i couldn't say; but if true, you tend to want to avoid such players, especially at qb.
