Is the CB we got via UDFA last year from ND still on the practice squad?
Is he a viable option to possibly make the roster this year?
It's just I've not seen anyone mention him here, wondering if Staley and Hill think he's got a shot?

Thanks for posting - I wonder if he read Manzano's article where Gilbert was speculating about Sherman and added his name. From what I have read, Sherman is not a scheme fit with a Brandon Staley defense but if Manzano mentioned him - maybe he is. Granted, he had a solid year last year - and is a smart player. Older than Hayward but smart player thats for sure

I did read he wasn't going back to the Niners but hey. life changes; I think the Vikings are out because they signed Peterson. This one would be interesting.

He graded highly in coverage in 2020. Sherman fits Staley's scheme and profile. This is a very heady player.

Secondary would be retarded with Sherman. It’s all about match-ups, assignments, angles and buying into Staley scheme. I’m surprised it took this long for his name to surface. Far as speed he never had it, yet it didn’t matter.

Out: Hayward 32, Ingram, 31, Tyrod T 31 and Square 32, Trai Turner was 27 (as were Lamp and Feeney), Hunter Henry is like 26

In: Linsley 30, Feiler, 28, Cook 34, Davis was resigned and he is 27

Now if he brings in Sherman and Carlos Dunlap and Valenzuela and older QB like Chase Daniels- you might have a point.
But as of today - not really. The Chargers are younger than they were last year.
